Make Every Penny Count !!!!0 -
I wouldn't close any of them to be honest. Im sure they've all had their own moments of bad customer service but which company hasn't. Im sure they've all had their good moments too. I think some people expect too much from companies though just because they're a big corporation. I've read more than one topic on here where I really think it's the fault of the customer or they're simply expecting too much. Take the meter reading example above. While it's annoying for the people involved it's hardly the fault of the company if someone else has incorrectly recorded the meter reading. What are they meant to do, just ignore it?
I also really don't have a problem with Tesco either. I think they're an extremely good supermarket and Im glad they're around. They've gotten to where they are by offering what customers want and keeping their prices reasonable. The main issue people seem to have with them is bringing an end to the high street but frankly it's the fault of stores like Woolworths. If they're not willing to adjust to the times and change their business model then they are doomed to failure. They've clearly not completely destroyed the high street as my high street has loads of small independent stores in, including butchers, bakers, grocers, etc. I've got 4 extremely large Tesco stores within about a 10 mile radius of here too so clearly the shops that have survived have done something right.
The company I dislike the most on that list is probably Ryanair due to their excessive hidden charges and I'd never fly with them again to be honest. However, it suits some people and I don't see and issue with them being around.0 -
The Guardian. That should not only be shut down but also be totally exposed for it's hate crime dynamics which has only achieved so far corrupting minds. And one fine example of the quality, or rather lacking in should I say, of journalistic practise and the general trend highlighted, if you'd excuse me for posting an ancient little snippet and leaving it at it without further comments:Let's just unravel the massive self-regarding hypocrisy behind that statement. As long as Mamet was writing plays from Billington's liberal-left perspective, he was a beacon of free-thinking insight and judgement. Now that he's thrown off his liberal-left ideological blinkers, he's "locking himself into a rigid ideological position".
...
It is only one more sign of the solipsistic bankruptcy of today's pseudo-intellectual Left, in which ego has replaced brain. But we knew that already. What Mamet is about the find out the hard way is that when you renege on the Left, they hate you with all the venom and fury of an Islamist chasing an apostate.0 -

Imagine a world without the satan paper!!The Daily Mail stood out among British newspapers in campaigning for years on behalf of Stephen Lawrence's parents. His father was a painter and decorator who did some work for Paul Dacre, who was then editor of the Mail. Paul Dacre heard Stephen's father's story and decided to throw his newspaper's weight behind the campaign by his parents for justice. If it had not been for the Mail's persistence in keeping up the pressure, the incompetence and racism of the Met Police in that case might never have come out. The Mail deserves great credit for that.0 -
Sky because of the dross they turn out under the guise of entertainment for the illiterati!0

Nestle would get my vote everytime, why oh why aren't they on the list?
Here's why I would vote for them http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestl%C3%A9_boycott http://www.babymilkaction.org/pages/boycott.html

PS I voted for Tesco (completely obliterated the town I live in), but only cos I missed BSkyB & The Sun.0 -
My vote was for Ryan Air - it could only be for Ryan Air.
I am 6 ft 2 which is tall but not excessively tall and I could not fit into the space allocated for your legs. Literally even whilst sitting completely straight my feet had to be off the ground and knees perched on the seat in front of me in order to fit in.
The flight was delayed by an hour - this happens - its part of running an airline. But not once did the airline apologise - on the ground or in the air. Not once were we told why or for how long we would be delayed.
Once on the ground it took me 2 hours to get from the plane through immigration. We were herded like sheep - stopped and started through the airport while the airline crew pushed past us because apparently seeing their families is more important than us seeing ours. We were told by airport security to basically get the hell out of their way.
All over an unpleasant experience - recommend EasyJet for short flights - keep away from Ryan Air!0 -
The Sun - serves no purpose at all, buy the beano its more entertaining.
I would have chosen Asda, but at least it keeps the Riff Raff out of TescoLife is too short to drink bad wine!0
