Why should the people who voted have to pay even more to get his single. They should give it free to everyone who registered a vote for him.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0 -
Well apparently anyone buying it at 29p, regardless of where it's from, won't be contributing to the top 40 singles chart
so carry on buying it at 29p! Then go and buy a decent song for over 40p, such as Rage Against the Machine's Killing in the Name Of, or even better everyone buy Don't Stop Believing by Journey, would be awesome to have that at no. 1 for xmas!
Apparently anything under 40p doesn't count towards the charts. Have a looksie - http://www.theofficialcharts.com/docs/Official%20UK%20Singles%20Chart%20Rules%20August%202009.pdf

Chris
HI Chris (and all),
We've checked this out and added it to the news story. The Official Charts Company say the following:
"The rules do not specify a minimum retail selling price for the sale of a single to be eligible for inclusion. However, they specify a minimum published dealer price (what a retailer pays a record label for the song).
"This does not affect the ability of a retailer to carry out price promotions. Any genuine consumer purchases made as a result of a retailer promotion will be eligible as long as the single meets all other applicable chart rules."
Hope this helps

29p is just not worth it for Joe or X-Factor
They'll be giving them away come end of week0 -
This won't count on the commerical radio chart show (Big Top 40 Show) as for a song to qualify you have to download it from iTunes or from there website www.bigtop40.com
But, it will count for Radio 1.Thanks,
