Mmmm, just had the end of the loaf for lunch. Yum! MIL's hm strawberry jam on one bit too. Very nice.
Well, been a busy day so far. Had a big list (well, still big) of jobs to do and made a start.
Been to see my physio , who stuck me full of needles (acupuncture) again. Uncomfortable, but feels good now. I asked how far in they went... expecting him to say half a centimetre, but he said 1-2cm. My response to that was that the one on my hand must be nearly out the other side!
Trying to get some jobs started, you know that procrastination thing? Don't have to be anywhere till I collect ds from concert at about 10 tonight, unless I go to sewing club, so need to sort some stuff out. Might be a good idea to have Christmas presents out today while there are no prying eyes due back.
Cushions finished and pleased with them. Next sewing task is some microwaveable wheat bags.
Have a good day all. WILl be back later no doubt/
Had a nice chat with dd and have arranged car insurance for when she comes home at the end of the week. I will have my own personal chauffeuse!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Happy un-birthday purpleivy!!!
Been missing from this thread for a couple of weeks, don't really know why other than busy I guess. Christmas shopping, work, don't seem to have much spare time at the moment.
Need to get things done this week such as wrapping, as off to my Mums next Tuesday until Boxing Day. She has asked me to take a main course of food with me for one of the days (not Christmas) as she is working and also busy, so won't have much time to shop. No idea what to take really, she likes what I deem yukky food (but am sure it would be loved on here, lentil broth type food, just not my cup of tea!), I'll eat what she does (unwillingly), but kids won't be keen! Also have to transport it on a 300 mile drive, and she has no freezer, so whatever I take will probably need to be eaten that day. Any ideas for an easily transportable, vegetarian family friendly dish much appreciated!
Off to Milto Keynes with the kids after school, DS want to go to Hawkins Bazar to get a rubber duck for one of his friends, thought I'd take them both to see the display, and I also want to visit Waitrose. Fingers crossed it won't be too busy up there.0 -
Afternoon all.
Happy Birthday MSDiva.
I haven't posted since last Wednesday; don't know if anyone missed me.:D
I'm cross - I really really didn't want to go into town again this side of Xmas; and last night Mr LW announced that he wants to get his hair cut on Saturday. For two pins I'd tell him to go on his own and take his chance on being able to park. I'll probably relent and go with him though (I have a Blue Badge) as there's a few odds'n's0ds I could do with from Superdrug.
Other than that, all is quiet in the Wolf's Lair. I emptied some crumbs outside for the birds, as the cream cracker tin needed refilling, and I've had the pleasure of watching a robin and a blackbird hoovering up the crumbs.:o
He's on late shift today, so don't know what time he'll be in - it's pasta in cheese sauce for dins though, which I can do in 20 mins flat and on autopilot.
Not a lot else to report, so ((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today, especially Redruby; I don't have a great understanding of family dynamics, but it must be very distressing. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all
Have had quite a relaxing day, today.
Spent a bit of time on here, this morning.
Worked through some stuff with DDs.
Then enjoyed a soak in the bath for a while, which was nice.
All that needs doing for the rest of today is a bit of washing, dinner - burgers and beans for DDs, no idea what I'm having, and we're also going to watch the Victorian Christmas programme on catch up
Happy birthday, Diva.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their dayThere is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

Happy Birthday for next Monday to Purpleivy - sorry for being a week early.
Im back from my Occupational Health review and it went very well:eek::eek: After the last one i was totally expecting the worst but it was a new doc and he seemed just fine. Im pleasantly surprised and feel optimisitc at the moment. I have also got on top of my household chores except for the washing as my WM is playing up again. Its on its last legs really but hope it can be mended again.
Hope you all having a good day. Im nicely settled in my chair with christmas lights on and feeling festive.

Late today, cold and dry here so not too bad.
All cards done and those needing posting have been, the rest will be handed out, all pressys wrapped, beds made up ready for DS1 DIL and DGD's when they come up Saturday AM, decs are all up and twinkling, bought a bag of little choc santa's and got a bag of snowmen free from Superdrug (99p) stuck string on and put them on the tree, just got a few bits and pieces to finish now, then all I need to do is some shopping.
I am determined to have an easier lead up to Christmas this year, not like the usual dashing around at the last minute,
Went to Morries yesterday and got the last till receipt for the £25 voucher, so will go and redeem that on Thursday, early I think to avoid the queue's

If I have any say in the matter, we'll also be going early; I'll be in an ordinary wheelchair, and my hair's long and dark red.;)
