Morning all
MSD - Happy Birthday - hope you have a great day.
It's so dark here I can't tell what the weather is like except that it isn't raining!
Had quite a lazy weekend, especially yesterday all I did was prep and cook a roast, we had a leg of lamb, roasties, mash, brussels, carrots, broccolli and green beans, yorkies and gravy. The meat was gorgeous - we haven't had lamb in ages coz it's so expensive but this was on offer and there's still plenty of meat left so will be doing a pot of gravy tomorrow night to reheat it in the oven and then some veggies to go with it.
Did sit and write the Christmas cards on Saturday, had already bought the postage stamps so those went in the post box yesterday, OH's work one's went to his work, so now all I have left are the few that we hand deliver. Will need to do some wrapping at some point this week as nothing has been done and we are going to see OH's nan and grandad next Sunday, she's recovering very well and astounding all of us! Dad seems to be doing ok too, but goes back to Dr's this week for an increase in his drugs will see what happens then.
Have done a menu plan for this week but will need to re-jig as wasn't sure whether I would have any roast meat left to do a meal so didn't include that when plan was done.
We have close friends coming over next Saturday night for eats and drinks so need to get into gear to get organised for that later in the week.
Have to go now, keep safe and well, hugs to those that need them.

Morning all
Hope the Birthday Girls have a fantastic day _party_
Me and DS2 have an appointment at the solicitors day _pale_ I'm dreading it but its a necessary evil so I made the appointment for 9 to get it out of the way early!
I've have had a lovely leisurely weekend and my batterys feel recharged (who knew Baileys recharged batterys??:rotfl:) Went over to my neighbours again last night to watch the xfactor final and drank her mint baileys - really lovely!
I'm going to try and sort the presents into some sort order tonight when the kids are in bed, finish my meal plan for the next three weeks and the associates shopping lists to save time over the silly season
Better go get ready - have a good day all!

Morning all - goodness I'm knickered - looking forward to a relaxing week of work after this weekend. worked at crisis all day saturday and came home to find that oh and his dd(8) had turned up early. His dd and dgs(5) decided to make some snowflakes and then have a paper snowball fight so every bit of the carpet was covered in tiny bits of paper and scrunched up paper snowballs. 50% off pizza hut delivery calmed everyone down though.
exoh took all the kids to see Michael Rosen give a reading - what a nice man - signed all their books including one that dd(13) bought for dgs some time ago. at the end he asked if there were any questions and dgs asked when he was going to read the book that he had just had bought for him - going on a bear hunt - he very kindly did just that. While all this was going on oh and i went to fortnum and mason to get some foodie gifts for ex's oh - what fun! ended up with some laverbread, saffron, smoked hot pepper powdery stuff and a fish thingy in a jar - hopefully she'll like them. we steered clear of the scorpion lollipop and the chocolate ants!
somehow or other i have done all the present shopping bar the two easiest - I detest christmas and have a big exam-type knot in my stomach all through november and december - dd(13) and i sorted out the menu for the day itself and the knot is now only about tennis ball sized - roll on boxing day
Happy birthday Lovely Birthday Girls!
Have good daysI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Happy Birthday Diva! hope you have lots of nice pressies!
Happy Birthday purpleivyhope you have a great day !
morning all!
last day of my 3 day working weekend - only 11 hours to go!:D I am envious of those of you with long christmas breaks as I only have 2 days off:( but we have to get used to it in my line of work. DH doesn't get much longer off either as a milkman but we do have a week off together in January to look forward to.
Redruby -(((hugs)))
OS today - not a great deal:D washing hung indoors as usual. Ironing to be done before work. Tea for DH and DS2 is beef stirfry. Mine is free at work.
Not a lot else to report. Hope you all have a nice day xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning everyone.
Kids slept well and yet I still feel knackeredI am beginning to wonder if I am anaemic again but really can't be bothered with the faff of going to Dr's to get some bloods taken. I have some iron tablets left over from pregnancy but I am not sure I want to take them given the <ahem> side effects
DS is going back to nursery this afternoon :T He's gonna whine about going but quite frankly he needs to go as he's being unbearable and I think it's because he's bored.
Tea will be chicken in BBQ sauce I think, been really slack over meal planning and cooking the last couple of weeks. Poorly kids have sapped every ounch of energy (at least that's my excuse). I cannot get anything else in the freezer it's so full so we have got to start cooking more stuff from scratch (and that doesn't include all the meat I have stashed in my mums freezer too).
Diva - Happy Birthday
Purpleivy - Happy Birthday
I hope you both have lovely day's today.
Redruby - Hugs to you xx I really hope you get a moving day today.
Tru - I love Frosty the Snowman, especially the version done by Nat King Cole. Mind you is there anything that man sang that didn't sound fab?!
Off to local shops at 10 with my mum. I haven't done ANY wrapping of pressies yet  Pressies are round at my mums house so ideally need to do it in the evening but with DS going to bed at around 8pm it doesn't give much time for anything else.
Taking H out on Friday night, my parents are coming round to baby sit. I fancy taking him somewhere in Stratford so will head off and have a google at some resturants in the town centre.
Have a good day OS or not. Hugs to those that need them.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

:bdaycake:Happy birthday to the birthday girls, hope you have a lovely day.
YYYUUUKKK its 'orrible out side, very dark and gloomy and wet, thought we were due snow today??????all we get is rain......washing from yesterday is still not dry despite a night on the airer, so now on the kitchen and sitting room radiators to finish off.
Upstairs this morning, doubt if we will get out for a walk unless it stops raining long eough to allow us to do our usual 30 minutes.
Nothing else planned.......I started making a patchwork heart yesterday, not happy with it, I am going to have to re-draw the pattern, its not 'fat enough' at the top. Am also bidding for a shelf set on E Bay for the kitchen.......we will have to go and collect them, but our car can do with a run to clean the filters. We have a Skoda greenline, does 60 - 70 miles to the gallon, but you have to keep the filters clean. If they are bunged up you get a light comes on the dashboard and a burn up at 60mph will clean them....brilliant.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hi Guys!
Just saying goodbye as we are off for a few days as we need a break and need to not think about anything except having fun with our friends:D
Had the breast biopsy late last week, so will know the results just before or after Xmas. What else can be thrown at me????? They have put me on some tablets for the pain which are helping a little.
Take care everyone and if Ive missed anything....sorry.

Hi, we finally managed to get our Xmas tree up yesterday, but we will need some more decorations as it is bigger than our old tree. I've just finished decorating some fairy cakes for school as it is their party this afternoon, and I'm helping:eek:. I have a huge list of jobs still to do before then. I managed to sort out a load of the kids toys last week, and my quilting stuff so have stuff to go up into the attic. I'm starting to panic over my Christmas shopping I've got quite a few left to get and no inspiration!:o
OS wise, Dinner tonight will be left over chicken - probably as a pie and I've got loads of washing to do and sort. I also need to sort DS1 clothes out as he has grown out of lots of things (as I discovered when he went to put his party clothes on this morning) I need to get back into Fly lady, I started last week then went down with a bug so didn't get very far.
I think I'm going to need a new set of scales as mine are playing up. I want some digital ones as they take up less room. Does anyone have any recommendations ? Or even suggestions for ones to avoid?
Hugs to all that need them - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Penny Pincher (My mum was diagnosed 3 years ago at Christmas but is now clear.)0 -
PP - hope you have a great break, fingers crossed for the results xDo what you love :happyhear0
