Hi all -not often on the daily thread but am laid up on the sofa with a nasty cold. Nothing at all happening here today - might defrost something from the freezer for lunch if I get hungry.
Bitsy - have you tried Spatone? It's an iron rich water sold in sachets in Boots/Tescos and you take one sachet a day on its own or with orange juice. It's the only iron supplement I've found that doesn't make me constipated! It's especially recommended for pregnant women because it's so gentle and has a really high bioavailability rate - that means your body can really easily use the iron it supplies.0 -
Hi everyone,
Happy birthday Diva and PurpleIvy. Have a good break PP, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Well I had an eventful weekend, had a hospital appt on Friday and was diagnosed with Sleep Apnoea, went in and stayed overnight on Saturday to get a cpap machine set up to help with my breathing (I think someone else on here was diagnosed recently but can'tremember who). Hopefully I will not get as tired as I have been recently.
OS we sorted out under the stairs yesterday, sorting yet more things for the charity shop. I'm ashamed at all the things we've bought in the past that we are now getting rid of in good condition. I also did some batch cooking but I don't know how I'm going to fit everything into the freezer with the Christmas stuff that is in there as well!
Spoke to DD on Skype in Japan - she's having a wonderful time.0 -

I haven't got any housework to do,DH and I worked like mad on Saturday as the estate agent rang to tell us we had a viewer yesterday, but they didnt show up
On the plus side,we are now very tidy-just need to keep on top of it and we're ok for next week.

Morning all,
Sorry haven't had time to answer individual posters yet, hopefully later i will get on and read the thread completely.
The weekend has gone in a bit of a blur! Managed yesterday to get the kids main present sorted, as usual had a budget of £300 and ended up spending £350. I really must start sticking to things! Estranged hubby gave me £300 towards the kids christmas and i have spent more than that on one present! No point losing sleep i suppose, i have a budget and will have to cut back elsewhere!
Logan should have been back at school today after his 'mumps' episode but he has now come down with 'the runs' great!
Lunch today will be leftovers from yesterdays roast and dinner tonight is yellow stickered finest pork loins with something! possibly mash and frozen veg as i really cant go shopping.
It has just hit me christmas is next week....OMG I am so not ready...mind i say that every year, hopefully things will come together at the last minute.
I started well today, by 7am i had a load of washing done, the kitchen cleaned and the sitting room hoovered and tidied, it has sort of gone down hill from there!
Hugs to all in need and hopefully i'll be able to have a good read and catch up later xx
Leigh.
