Yikes I do not have my xmas fund started, I think I will need to do extra shifts galore from september onwards to pay for it, talking of car insurance this is due along with the mot and tax in november, I think I will have to start putting a bit more money away, we officially have budgetted for tax, insurance and mot but keep dipping into the money for things for the living room doh!

decorating your house is pointless if you do not have the money to pay the bills as it only makes it better for the mortgage people to sell after it has been repossed

Hey Emmie, I hope you don't mind me stopping by - I was reading through here and thought I would leave you a reply before I move on.
It's really inspirational to see how well you're doing with your debt so far! I've got a mountain to clear myself (my partner is debt free and has £000's in savings), so keep reading these forums for support and to keep me going at it. I'm similar to yourself in that I see things I must have, and before would just get them, but fortunately my partner has put a stop to that and is really keeping me on the straight and narrow
Good luck with your journey, I will stop in from time to time to see how you're getting on

gees louise, radish and pickle you scare mongers, I promise I'll start saving for my tax and insurance, and adamA9 as you can see it isn't my hubby thats stopping me from making purchases its my mse buddies.
Thanks for the message though I can't believe I am inspiring anybody, I can remember the first few times that I came and had a look at the forums and it felt so unachievable to get to where I am now so thanks for reminding me how far I've come.
Been to alton towers today just me and the children, had a great day took a picnic and have my annual pass so very cheap day, I did have to purchase a coffee (half term at alton towers is not a good place to go through caffiene withdrawal) but got 20% off that with my annual pass. Suprisingly we didn't have to queue much at all and it turned into a lovely sunny day. Possibly going to legoland discovery centre this weekend which is another place I can use my annual pass, but hubby has just said that it is inside the trafford centre which worries me not because I like clothes shopping (I hate it) but hubby revels in delight at shopping (he buys me all my clothes) I am fearing for the safety of his bonus
Anyway back to work tomorrow but at least I've only got 2 days to go instead of the usual 6, that just made me think I still haven't got my p60 I'll have to chase that up tomorrow.

For a moment then I mis read and thought that you had written 'I know where you live', I was going to say I promise I won't buy a dining table:rotfl:. For some reason I thought that you lived down south, I don't know why, anyway I live in lovely staffordshire so not far from manchester at all it is our closest big city although I have only ever been to the trafford centre once and it was far too big I had to keep looking at the map to find where I wanted to go, I have also never seen a food court so big - is the legoland place in the trafford centre?

:rotfl: Never mind a horse's head, I'll leave a table leg in your bed instead! :rotfl:
As for Legoland, it's in the the new bit they just built on called 'Barton Square' where are the houshold shops are. It's attached to the main centre by a walkway between H&M and Boots. There's a small car park behind it to save you a fairly long walk from the other side. And yes, the foodcourt is big, but it would need to be, somedays: the number of people who can be there is mind-boggling!Please call me 'Pickle'
