    :bdaycake:Happy birthday crafty!!:bdaycake:

Snow here, so all the motorways and hills in Kent are closed. Only a few cms here, but obviously more further west. I finished yesterday, so am snug and smug at home.:D

DS2 went into school wearing different shoes, as I didn't want him to wreck his expensive leather shoes, had a row with one of the staff over it and they sent him home. Didn't believe him that I told him to wear them - I just wasn't thinking this morning....Only has one lesson, just missing tutor time, final assembly and the eucharist.

I don't think there's any chance of me getting any stars at all this week, as I'm really tired and have a massive attack of CBA...Maybe do a bit later.

    Morning ladies

Havent caught up with last nights or early morning posts as was out last night with DH work. Meal was lovely and even though it was snowing a blizzard we decided to walk home (very MSE as the taxi there was £3.50 for less than mile) It was incredibly funny slip sliding all over (and me in 4 inch heels :rotfl:) getting totally snowed up and wet but we laughed about it so much it was worth it.

This morning we have about 4 inches of snow so they have closed all the schools and DD has been outside so far in her dads work boots, my wellies and her shoes which are now all soaked. I walked into town early to take advantage of the soap and glory hatbox offer (all the staff were taking advantage too) but I got 2, one for DD and one for mum. Got DD new wellies and came home to unexpectedly find an array of children here who had taken the dog out into the snow. Poor thing had it welded to her tummy and her legs looked like little snow boots so she has had to have a warm bath as it was the only way we could get it off. The house has water all over it now, both from children and dog who goes mental when she gets out of the bath.

My work lunch has been cancelled which in a way is good as it was right out on the coast, about a 40 mile round trip and some very minor roads to get to it. So I now have the day to catch up on things and enjoy with the children and DH who has his last day off today until 29th.

Got to go and find the you tube clip for snowflake decorations so I can make them with DD and friends if and when they come in and want to warm up.

Need to find food as missed breakfast and a few quality street cannot be classed as such!

    See you later

Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    erm

IF a person had a mild electric shock from a set of fairy lights (broken bulb:eek:) would they need medical attention at all:confused:

ona positive note allthe decs are out of the attic and I have boxed up the dolls house finally...

and just out of interest I have had two of my sets of lights PAT tested then they can be used in school..
