Morning all. My target today is to get to the bottom of the ironing basket, do Mr S order, and not to murder anyone.

Morning all

Bright and sunny here, we only had an extra 1" of snow overnight so hoping the roads are ok. Off to Mum's for a few hours today (Toots it will be ok and I've told her we are leaving at 4:30 at I have a food shop due at 5:00 )

Cats not in my good books as they jumped right on the top of my kitchen cupboards and smashed a large bowl - it's not one I use much (or particularly like) but it is the naughtiness of it - I think it is because of the weather they are not going out for a prowl around at night.

Off to the shower and to moisturise, the cold weather is making my skin so dry.

Morning all

Looks like it has sleeted/snowed lightly here overnight.I don't plan on going anywhere for a while though. I may go to the carol service tonight depending on how I feel.

I've woken up with a really sore throat this morning. I'm hoping I've just been snoring in the night (!) rather than it being the start of a cold. DH is still in bed so I'm going to watch last week's casualty.

Some of you might remember I was looking for cereal bowls with names on: I'm so mad at myself as I forgot to order one! And my friend with the child who it's for (my godson) is here tomorrow. Aargh!! I need shin pads for her other son, hopefully we can go and get some tomorrow at the sports shop up the road. Their trip down is hastily arranges, was not meant to be seeing them until end of Jan.

Plan for today is:

As much flying as DH and I can do in an hour - def including the kitchen, bathroom and hoovering through.
wrapping
Make rocky road
Make fudge (buy stuff first)
sort presents for boys for tomorrow.
make soup

DH has downloaded me Dolly and Kenny singing Christmas songs - how cool is that! It'll be on whilst I marzipan later

I've used eol in the past to get rid of company hardware and have done a full audit of their security and environmental processes - so can reassure you that they're a real company and there's nothing dodgy about the stuff they're getting rid of.

We've had a little more snow here, but not enough to stop me going out (hopefully we won't get any more today, as I want to go and see my brother and SIL and go to a carol service...). It's cold though... there is ice on the inside of the sitting room window again :eek:

I'm going to give PenPen's suggestion of using ash on the path and drive a go, and try to spend the day giving the house a quick blitz. It's not too bad, but the kitchen still has evidence of the biscuit baking, and there's some ironing to deal with.

DW has been emptied but not everything has been put away. Windows are open so the house is airing and hopefully some of the condensation will go. I must move the dehumidifier in from the utility room and set up the timer on the utility heater.

Desk has be tidied, wiped and dusted, so hopefully I'll get my paperwork done now there is is space (preferably before I start work tomorrow morning and start making more mess!).

Work expenses also done, hopefully just on time (I need to get used to this, in the old job I only did them occasionally but it was my money that had been spent, with the company credit card, if I don't do them I have to pay the late-payment charge :eek:)

Off to shower, dress and hopefully have a productive day!

just had a 5 minute hunt for DS's name badge for work - found it - it's very clean.... it got washed on his uniform last night!!!!
