Evening ladies

Doesnt seem like I've done much today as took over 2 hours to unblock the DW :mad:. DS went to empty it and said it didnt look very clean then i noticed all the dirty water in the bottom. Thought it must be frozen outlet pipes so spent ages with warm water trying to free it. Then put boiling water though the washing machine which cleared them but DW still wouldnt drain away. Spent ages scooping out the water until I could get to the grot in the bowels of the machine (we're talking beneath the filters as I do them when piggers tells us to!!!). Got enough grot out to run machine and thankfully it was clear this time.

So the only other thing I have managed was to strip all the beds, and collected up and sorted everyone elses washing.

Have also sorted brothers info for his pressie as it wont be here in time

and if I'm honest not much else has been done and the only time I set foot outside the door was to clear the outlet pipes

I know they fight like cat and dog but underneath DS is devoted to DD - she can't remember, but I can, the hours we spent as a little unit, when she was newborn, toddler, baby and mummy:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D when I BF her he BF his teddy! He once 'helped' me changed her and almost crushed her and he used to haul her about (under supervision and not as bad as it sounds but best word to describe it) he was VERY proud of his baby. And I hope she appreciates having what I wanted MY WHOLE life - a BIG BROTHER
They're playing Wii now.
She's in raptures over her new 'babies'... but is leaving them to 'settle' into their new home.

ETA Pillion hugs to you and DS - as Lil_me says it's just one day - it can be brought forward or put back as appropriate (a colleague has done a Christmas Day already as her brother visited but won't be here for the actual 'day') Just hoping DS makes a full recovery...

Now if I were closer to Soappie I'd be round there sharing that film...

scrub the tiles and grout!

Wednesday ~ Master bedroom and Landing
Level One
Strip bedding, and wash it.. and get the bed remade.. before bed time! Change duvet cover etc too!
Level Two
Clear out and organise any large cupboards you haven't done in a while.. I am fairly certain I recall someone mentioning a large untidy cupboard..
Organise presents and cards to be sent to those for whom they are intended..
Extras

1. Wash windows
2. Wipe the bedframe and any paintwork
3. Dust and deweb

Thursday ~ Living room/s, Hall stairs.. and.. and garage! (HA!!)
Level One
Clear some rubbish from the garage.. Ha-ha.. you will all learn
Level Three
Wipe over any paintwork/doors that are grubby
Extras

1. Wipe down 3 radiators

Friday -finale!
Level One
S&S the kitchen and bathroom
Change and dirty bedding that needs it!
Level Two
Vacuum through the rooms that need it
Wash any grimy windows
Level Three
Clean the pantry or airing cupboard or understair cupboard or shed..
Wipe out the freezer.. defrost if needed!!
Clear out any grotty cupboard!
Extras for the WHOLE WEEKEND!!!

1. Final final shopping lists
2. Update remaining present lists
3. Wrap remaining presents
4. Deliver presents that you need to before christmas
5. Make a timetable for christmas prepartions.. turkey in.. turkey out.. etc
6. Clear the table and make it look pretty and festive for your christmas meal
7. Bake pies and buns!

Thread sorted on baubles, so the final decorations are now on the tree. Fire is finally behaving. The remaining logs look like they're going to be too big for the stove :rolleyes: but I'll see whether I can get them to burn.

CBA to do anything else today...

Ishtar (((hugs))) for you and STOP being silly and putting yourself last - you are the glue that holds everybody together so if you fall apart then so does everyone which makes the situation so much worse honey as you well know. take HV advice and look after yourself and do not be overdoing it - do not be tryinmg to complete the whole list - just do enough that you are happy and the place is acceptable - you want to enjoy christmas too not be a total wreck -if someone offers help you make sure you tak and thats an order:rotfl: take care now.

Funfairprincess hello honey - I am ok - better now that the decorating is finished - it was wearing me out being up at 7 everymorning and people in the house all day but the painter and joiners have done a fabulous job - i just need to get rid of the excess 'lovely stuff' that is hanging about!! What about you - are you ok petal?
LadyL thank you for being our postie - will let you know when mine arrive - glad you enjoyed the concert but yes Iknow what you mean about people being rude and being at that lower level - it certainly takes a bit of getting used to. I make it my mission when I am out to 'educate' the rude ones - running over toes is a good start;) Love and hugs xx

hellsbells (((hugs))) huge squishy hugs at that - its hard when you are struggling with the finances for so long - been there done that - and at this time of year its even worse - take some time out for yourself and switch off - even if just half an hour with a magazine or a book - but dont think about money - when you start again PRIORITISE - only do what really NEEDS to be done and I mean both at home, work, christmas, money whatever - dont try to do everything. Is there someone you can chat to and have a good rant - you might feel better just to offload now and then. I do hope 2010 is a better year for you honey.

thifty Congratulations on your new home - I am glad you got moved after all and you have done really well if you only have 6 boxes left to do. bad news about the car but good to hear your insurance are looking after you. take it steady with the cleaning - you will soon establish routines because you were very good in your last house - not sure about the shower drain - you may need to buy some of the clingy drain clearing stuff - I would try the soda crystals again a couple of times - it may just take an extra go to clear it.

i hope all of you that are affected by the snow are safe and warm and that it gets easier soon - be very careful if you have to go out and be sure to wrap up warm.

I am delighted that some of you feel you are better organised for Christmas this year. I am not - this has to be the worst organised I have been in years and its doing my head in - but its nobody's fault but mine - i was the idiot who thought they could decorate before Christmas:rolleyes: and not being able to get out so much i should have started much earlier - hey ho it will happen with or without me but i hate letting people down.

today hasnt gone to plan - i was doing quite well in the morning and got a few presents wrapped then my friend C phoned to say she would stop by after she did her shopping so I did a bit of tidying - not much needed but did S&S the loo and the kitchen - so I had a 2 hour distraction - I managed to wrap her presie before she came so thats something left the house!
I have had the WM on twice and it is draped about the place.
then after tea I got stuck into updating the stars and catching up on the thread so that has taken until now.

so havent really marked anything off my list:embarasse really need to get the wrapping done tomorrow.


I am off to bed and will see you all tomorrow
