Ruby...hugs. I think that you are probably best to leave things to cool off, as others have said. I really think that your mother must be under tremendous pressure, its very difficult to deal with a partner who is now becoming confused and in my experience of seeing it with an uncle, my aunt used to react the same way to him as your mother seems to be doing. You always seem to have had a close, loving relationship with your parents and they will, I'm sure come round soon.

Pudding cooked so off to bed in a few minutes, night all, sleep well.

Feel bit fed up - been housebound with poorly kids for nearly 2 weeks and this weekend hasn't been any different. DS will be going to nursery tomorrow so hopefully he'll burn off some excess energy and stop whinging all the time.

Bitsy, how do you get on with childminding, when your own children are ill?

    Thanks all, :o

I have phoned her again, and she basically said that they are both very cross with me, and that she would send my dd's christmas presents up through my sis, I tried to explain how upsetting it was to see my dad treated like that, but she said that they both did not want to know and she put the phone down on me, I have been in tears, I just cannot bear to think of my dad going through that. I will leave it now, I cant keep phoning and upsetting myself.

Molly hugs to your poor dd xx

And hugs to any in need xx

I'm really sorry to hear that RedRuby.

I've had similar with my own mother, so know how upsetting it is. Hopefully it will die down in a few days.

    ((((HUGS))))

So sorry Red Ruby I have had my own problems with my Mum over the years (see my thread-can I vent about my mother lol). My Mum tends to over react go off on one and about 1-2 wks later when she has calmed down will contact me. I never really get an apology as such, but she will make some kind of gesture usually.

Best to let things cool down for a while, surely she won't want to miss seeing your DD at Christmas.

I suggest you send your DD round with a large bunch of flowers and a note saying how very sorry you are that they are hurt by what you said; that you certainly never meant to hurt them but that you are really worried and upset by the way they have started to argue with each other. Also tell them how much you love them and that you are always there for them.

Hopefully they will soon calm down.

    Huge ((((hugs)))) to you.
