SG glad to hear the news about your dad:D

Been such a busy day again. Cooked a lovely meal with £4 Morrisons deal, the pork was lovely! Enough left for OH tomorrow -all plated up for him so that will save some work tomorrow as it is my long day at work. House lovely and tidy it feels so nice sitting here and not having to feel guilty that I should be up doing something. Washing pretty up to date too.

Will spend evening knitting and watching X Factor final.

    Have a good evening all

    Hello everybody,

Bitterly cold here to-day, would rather not have snow this week as there are several things remaining to be done and would like to do them sooner rather than later.

Still haven't bought a Christmas tree...think that I will try to persuade OH to go and get it to-morrow as all you organised people are making me feel guilty! Pudding is steaming as I speak and made cake on Friday so getting there so happy enough but will miss DGS2 not being here to decorate the tree...his mam has a half day on Wednesday so maybe we could do it then.

Just had some nice lamb chops for dinner, with roast veg and baked potatoes...like to be able to put the whole dinner in the oven when I can.
Ice cream and jelly for pudding, OH's choice, I would have had something a little warmer if up to me, still love sweet stuff of any kind.

Hugs to all in need or want of one, welcome to newbies, keep warm and enjoy the rest of Sunday

    Evening all,

I dont know if you remember, but I had words with my mum last week about her constantly trying to get me on her side in arguments with my dad, dad has been getting more and more confused over the last year, and has episodes where he is really confused.

Both my sister and I have noticed that mum is constantly putting him down, and I have asked her twice before not to do it as its really upsetting.

Anyway I had not spoken to them over the weekend which is really unusual, so I have just phoned them, and my dad has said that both he and mum were upset about the way that I behaved, and that they did not want to see me again, and that I should not bring the dog up to them tomorrow, ( they normally have the dog while I an at work)

When we had words, they were arguing, and dad said to mum, there is no need to be nasty, mum turned to me and said ' Sue was i being nasty ?' all I said was ' I dont want to get involved in your arguments' and then I had to go, I said goodbye, and my dad replied but mum did not.

This has really upset me, I am sick of being a go between with them, but I am not sure what to do now ? do I just leave it to calm down, or shall I try to phone again ?

I have spoken to my sis countless times about this, sis is a social worker, and belives mum is under a lot of stress but is basically abusing my dad. Sis will not get involved.

    What would you do ?

Similar with DD. She just can't seem to shift it off her chest.

On a different note altogether, I didn't manage to get out with DDs this afternoon as my leg has been really painful to even stand up on, but have spent an interesting day on here.

Dinner, however, is calling, so I need to make some effort and get it done now :D
