Well if I were still working I'd take as few days off as possible - the leave is much better saved until the spring or even summer.0

OH isn't taking any time off apart from the statuatory ones:mad::mad:.
DS (works at MacDonalds when not at college) has got 24th and 25th off and 30th,31st and 1st. He's quite chuffed....but not at working Boxing Day for no extra!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Off on Christmas day (Yipee!), only my third christmas day off in the last 20 years but working Boxing day. Honestly would have prefered to work Christmas day as the Salvation Army come and sing carols, Santa visits and all parents are really cheery. Boxing day, there's no singing, pressies or smiles as everyone is bloated and grumpy!! (I'm a Sister on a Neonatal Unit)0

I'm a self-employed cleaner and am working flat out until Xmas eve. Everyone wants their houses cleaned before chaos ensues! Then off until 4th Jan.0

I have just given up work after more than 30 years as a nurse. I have lost count of how many years I have had to work over Christmas and New Year and to be honest I do have some regrets about the time I have missed with my family, especially the years when my children were little. Having said that there is no other career I would rather have had. Family time is precious so I agree that only essential workers should work over Christmas.0

I've got 22nd off for some last minute bits, I'm working up to & including xmas eve (so 23rd & 24th).
Then off till Tuesday 29th Dec, working that one day & off till Mon 4th Jan.0 -
