All of them :T I am retired and its so lovely knowing that I haven't got to juggle everything at this time of year.... I spent many years trying to cram everything into a couple of days and begging my bosses to please tell us who had got leave and who was the unlucky beggars... why do they always leave granting christmas leave till the last possible moment? anyway I feel for those of you are still in the dark and I bet there are some that are...

Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Monday Bank Holiday and New Years day only. I actually like working the week in between not many calls and I can get lots done. I am looking forward to a few days of rest though!
  • I'm off from the 18th and back on the 4th. OH only has Christmas Day off grrrr works in retail, I wish one of the large companies would think about their staff and families and stay shut on at least boxing day as well grrrrrr. At least this year they don't open till 9 last year it was 7 and he has to be there an hour before and we live an hour and a half away from his store!!!!! Sorry rant over

  • also work in a call centre - we are only closed christmas day and newyears day - but i will be off from about six pm xmas eve to the monday after new years day - personally think everything should be closed.....apart from any emergency services and that nurses etc should be on four times normal pay.........!!
  • I dont work but my OH has xmas day, boxing day and he also has the 27th off as where he works is shut on sundays anyway. He usually has to go back to work on the 27th so its nice that's he's got 3 days off. :)

I used to work in nursing homes and anyone without kids had to work christmas day, which i really didnt like, didnt mind working new years eve day though.

Now im self employed at the moment and if i dont work a day then i lose so i will be cramming some work in everyday incl christmas day no doubt.
