My doggy hates me. (with updated whinge!)

She's still not right so I really need to hold out a bit longer. (36 hours and counting.) Getting to the "too weak to move" phase.

Plan B is about to kick in - Mother! I have to go to work in a bit, so mum is going to be stuck with starvation overdrive for the rest of the day. I think I'm going to have to buy more Christmas prezzies to make up for this.
Always amazes me though that a dog that has just been sick can still be holding out to be fed.

You're stronger than I am - after about 2 hours since her last food Suki starts with the neglected cat routine that's so disgraceful I've been known to put the phone on the floor and tell her to call the RSPCA herself! I swear if there was an Oscar for best hard-done-by cat performance she'd win every year (and has nowt at all to complain about... apart from having to share HER house with two slaves... sorry... humans).Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

I am starving two cats just now as one is getting tooth removed tomorrow so is on no food sice 9pm. After 20 minutes my little boy has howled, pleaded and sat on my knee is his desperation for food. Grizzy who has to starve just doesnt care at present, reckon she will be glad to get he tooth out. Reckon another hour and i will have to lock one of them so i can feed my boy as i want to sleep tonight. Dont think i could manage 36 hours unless i moved out!!0

My two cats would never allow me to starve them. I get woken up every morning by them climbing all over me calling for food. If I refuse to move I hear them pushing their bowls across the kitchen floor & banging the cupboard where the food is kept! Every time I get out of my chair they both run for the kitchen regardless of whether they have only just been fed!
Hope doggy is feeling a bit better by now!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
My Diggs was up and down the night before last with a very loud rumbling tummy. I gave him a drop of gaviscon - it works. Id given my old JR it once when her tummy was rumbling so loud you could hear it in the next room. I felt really guilty about it afterwards and rang the vet and he said, "Ive no problem with that".0

Have to agree with the yoghurt thing, natural live yoghurt always seems to help my dog. Though I would really suspect that freezing would damage the bacteria, unless they specifically have mechanisms to avoid it (and I can't see why yoghurt making bacteria would). Though it is possible that some survive and repopulate I suppose?0

I make HM yog all the time and always freeze my starter, it must be alive, cos it works every time.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

Can't argue with that

Update - with mutt's usual impeccable timing, the stomach upset has now triggered an attack of colitis which I don't have any meds for as it's ages since the last attack.
I'm meant to be taking her into kennels tomorrow and going away till Thursday. Can't really leave seeing the vet till I get back, and I'm at work till late tomorrow morning. Currently trying to sort out the logistics of getting mutt to the emergency surgery tomorrow morning then into kennels before they close at lunchtime. If they still want her - (she's also hobbling around with a sore foot.)
Otherwise I won't be going anywhere. Why does the little so-and-so alway times things to buggar up my social life. :mad:All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Libby's canned pumpkin is good at firming loose poos in dogs if thats any use. Some dogs seem to be lactose intolerant, so yogurt wont help.0
