Well we have had another bombshell this morning (see diary) so I really hope that 2010 is our turning point.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

  • Ok all you foodies-I want to make a purple cabbage dish as seen on GMTV but it calls for apple cider vinegar. I haven't got any! Any suggestions????

might be a bit late, but anything like white wine or red wine vinegar would be fine.

I feel very weird today. I'm usually running around doing 3 things at once on a Sunday and I don't need to be doing them. Something keeps niggling in my head that there is something really important/urgent that I need to be doing and worrying about but I can't think what it is - possibly because it doesn't exist!

Went to Asda for some painkillers and a toilet brush........wandered aimlessly and spent £25 :o .......and didn't get a toilet brush :rotfl:

I suppose I could think of a list of everything else I should be doing, but to be honest I can't be faffed.

Just heated up the leftover chinese for my lunch. Yum.

Does anyone know if I can set up email reminders for certain subscribed threads? I keep missing replies on my diary.

Yes, you can Ames - under 'thread tools' (just above the first post on each page).

Click on 'subscribe to this thread', then pick whether you want instant, daily or weekly notification of new posts.

You might have to unsubscribe and then resubscribe if you have already subscribed without notifications (there's probably another way of doing it, but I've never looked).

Oh, just found it - under 'User CP', choose 'Subscribed Threads' from the left hand menu, then tick the boxes next to the threads you want to get notifications for. Then go to the bottom of the list, and there's a drop-down menu over to the right (defaulted to 'move to folder'). Click on the down arrow next to it, and you can choose the notification frequency there. Then click 'Go'.
