Little boy still not dry at night

My dd who was four end of june has just cracked being dry at night :0)
I was worried that she would never be dry at night and felt pressured by society and other parents at her school, strangely she said to me about two weeks ago i do not want my nappy on i thought she was just being naughty but went with it expecting a wet bed and unhappy child in the middle of the night.
But to my surprise it did not happen, she was very pleased with herself as was i lots of prise and she has been dry since well only a dribble not enought to warrant saying she wet the bed.
The stange thing is she was still waking up with a wet nappy in the mornings, before i let her go to bed with no nappy, and they have a small beaker of milk before bed,
I have given up worrying about what others thing and come to the conclusion my kids are only going to be kids once and they will do things in there own time, :0)
The same thing happened with her for potty training i gave up with her and literaly three weeks later she did it herself she was obveiously not quite ready when i was trying with her.
The only problem i have now is her sister who was 3 end of june also no wants to be like her bog sister and have no nappys on at night but she is still waking up in the morning with wet nappys, so we have told her when there is no wee wee's in your nappy in the morning the you can have no nappy at night and she seems fine with this.0 -
My DD isn't dry at night - she's 5 - we tried for a time during the summer, which was entirely her decision and we had a few dry nights. She started school full time in September and since then has been wet every night. We put her back into pull-ups a couple of weeks ago as she was weeing more than once and not waking up for either IYSWIM. And even now she occasionally brings home wet knickers from school.
3.5 is very young, to be honest, but some children are dry at night (my nephew is just 3 and is dry). They are all individuals
I read somewhere, when it all got a bit much for me, that it wasn't seen to be a problem until they got to 7 or 8, then you need to start thinking about speaking to the doctor.

Being dry at night is all to do with hormones. I can't for the life of me remember what the hormone is called but it effectively 'turns down' the kidneys at night to a slow trickle. When each child starts producing this hormone is different just the same as puberty starts at different times with us. So all you can do really is wait until your child's body begins to 'mature' and you will notice nights become dryer and dryer till one day you will have forgotten you were worried. So stick with the nappies/pull ups till your child is ready.0

my 4 yr old ds does stand up for a wee but does forget to lift the seat so pee's on the seat quite frequently and doesnt tell anyone or clean it up

It only seems kinky the first time.. :A0 -
My DD is 3, and not dry at nights, she hates putting the pullup on at bedtime, which is great but she wakes in the night to have a few drinks, but doesn't wake up to wee lol. I don't worry.
My sister who is now 6, was dry during the day and nights at 2, and had her first accident at night soon after she started school, probably the change of her life!0 -
