them too!
have a confession - I dont drive! my OH does - in fact he drives around all day - and he still doesnt understand roundabouts or believe me when i say we should take the second right off it! in fact we were coming back from a trip into cardiff and locals will know this one - were heading back from the john lloyd centre and got onto roundabout - we wanted a470 but he wouldnt believe me and that roundabout had about 5 turnoffs and he headed up each and every one wrong one! i was wetting myself laughing and kept saying its that one and the silly sod WOULDNT go that way! we went round that roundabout 5 times! in the end he took the road i originally pointed out - then lambasted me for not telling him!!!!!!!!!! what made it funnier was that someone had broken down on roundabout and he and AA man were watching in amazement so i waved gaily at them on each go round!0 -
May I join in?
We were travelling yesterday early evening along the M4. It was a 2 lane section and the car in the near lane doing about 65, so my DH moved over into the outter lane to overtake. This !@£$%^&^ came up behind and did a sort of accelerate and drop back a foot a few times while we were overtaking, generally being a right jerk. So as we are clearing the car indicate to come back over and said jerk, undertakes us as we were about to pull in. If that wasn't bad enough, maybe this wasn't a good idea but DH flashed him and Jerk (now infront ) slammed his brakes on. WHY? IDIOT. How he didn't cause an accident I will never know bit this behaviour was uncalled for. Sorry been waiting 24hrs to air this one.

hmmm - my method for dealing with jerks in front is to grab mobile phone then talk animatedly into into it! jerks in front usually assume you are calling cops and bug ger off. (not the driver btw - I dont drive) .0

May I have my little rant as well, having just got back from a concert in Manchester I was quite surprised how quiet it was and though we would get straight out of the car park and off on our way. All I needed to do was turn right out of the car park and we would have been on our way.
This plan would have worked if idiot people could read and understand what 'KEEP CLEAR' means when coming to a stop for the traffic lights ahead. If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -
I'm sure the one headlight out thing has got a lot worse the past couple of years, maybe bulb manufacturing standards are slipping...
do regularly see people that don't understand how to use a mini roundabout round here as well, yet are fine at large roundabouts, which I can't quite fathom.
my theory: many newer cars have very awkward access to the bulbs so people put off changing them.
this is compounded by the safety requirements for passenger safety pushing the bumpers up higher
i know of some cars where you need to take the bumper off for bulb replacements :eek:0 -

100% correct!
The bulb went in my KA, so having heard Halfords advert on the radio saying they'll fit a bulb for £4.99 (and knowing from someone else who difficult they are to change), I took mine along.
As soon as I said it was a KA, they had a quick look, then refused to do it, as it's just too difficult.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Renault Megans, something to do with the crumple zones,Fifth Gear did a piece a while back where a car expert managed to change the bulb without removing the bumper but it took him something stupid like 45minutes & he had to remove the wheel to do it.0 -

Yeah I'm aware that Ford are making theirs increasingly difficult to change, although I thought that was because they want to push more people into their authorised repair places. I know my 55 fiesta isn't too bad, but simila Focuses and Ka's are a lot harder, for no obvious reason.0
