    5' Orthopaedic Mattress - £99
    5' Orthocare Mattress - £129
    5' Ultra Firm Mattress - £149
    5' Silentnight Hippo & Duck Miracoil Mattress - £189
    5' Backcare Mattress - £149
    5' Luxury Firm Mattress - £189
5' Sleepzone Deluxe Mattress with hand stitched borders - £259
    5' Pocket Sprung Mattress - £259

    Plus many more..

I'd let your wife have a look at them. There are some cheap and nasty mattresses on the market.

I wouldn't bother with the Silentnight one.

I guess it could be best to go lay on them, and make a choice.

If it falls into plan, hopefully under £400 we could get that bed, and the mattress.

Most nights ill prob be blind drunk, so i could sleep on the floor and think i was in the bed....

Yes you are allowed your opinion, and you have told most of MSE how much you paid for your mattress. This is how we all know that you paid way over the top (as is usually the case in Dreams) for you mattress.

The OP was asking about a mattress for £100. So coming on here and telling everyone that you paid well over £1000 for your mattress isn't really very helpful or MSE is it? In fact it sounds more like showing off. You are doing MSE members a diservice by suggesting that they have to spend over £1000 to get a good mattress.

I'm not saying for a second that your mattress isn't very comfortable. After all it should be for what you paid for it. However it is very easy to find a far superior mattress for a fraction of the price.

Actually I still can't see in the first post where he said he had a set budget:confused:

I personally don't feel there is a superior matress for less, the same or more than I paid for mine & I did spend several months looking.

Where did I "brag" to the OP it was over £1000:confused:

You have an agenda against Dreams. I would guess they are perhaps the biggest bed firm in the UK because they offer people what they want:rolleyes:

The OP didn't mention his budget in the first post, but a good clue would be that he was looking at a mattress for £100.

Well that is your personal opinion which you are entitled to. However from being in the business I know different. I also know all the sales hype and gimmicks that they use to convince people that they are getting good value for money.

You didn't brag to the OP, but you have done in numerous other threads.

That's where you are very wrong. I have an agenda against any retailer, of any product, who lies, exagerates, or even makes things up out of the blue to get a sale. And who uses all sorts of hype and gimmicks to convince the consumer (who often don't know any better) to part with far more money than they need to.

Dreams use the power of advertising (especially TV) that only a large company can afford to attract customers. They give a price promise on items that have been renamed so that they are the only people who sell them. Then they charge high prices, telling customers that they will guarantee that you can't find it cheaper elswhere. They use all sorts of gimmicks and hype to push people towards beds that will earn them the most commision, rather than what the customer actually needs. There are loads of threads on MSE to support all of this.

So you may have been taken in by the sales staff, but that doesn't mean that others should too.

I still can't see where the OP quotes a £100 budget for a mattress in his OP, I can't see any budget in his OP.
Would you care to point it out to me:confused:

I'm not bragging to tell people I bought my bed from dreams & I'm delighted with it & I think that over 10 years it will be a bargain.
Are you still insisting all MSEers only want cheaper items
Should MSEers who find something they are delighted with not recommend it to other MSEers.

While you may be a bed & mattress professional, others opinions are vaild too, if the OP had just wanted one (yours) he could have PMed you, I thought this was an open forum?

MSEers are usually interested in good value. The fact of the matter is that Dreams are not good value. They are very expensive in fact.

It is an open forum, and as I said previously you are entitled to your opinion. However I don't want to see people following your advice by going to Dreams then being ripped off.

As you seem to pop up in many mattress forums to tell us all how much you spent on your mattress, then I'm sure you will have seen many of the threads that are far from complimentay about Dreams? I notice you didn't post in any of them. Do you actually work for Dreams?

Found the links, they were pretty hard to see.

I don't go on any other forums except MSE, you must be mistaking me for someone else.

Now & again when doing a "new post" search I see people asking to recommend a nice bed/mattress & as I am so happy with mine (fav bed ever) I can't help but share my enthusiasm.

I'm a public slave I work for local government, not Dreams.

I'm not mistaking you for anyone else. You have been on loads of mattress threads on MSE.

Imagine how much enthusiasm you would have for the mattress if you had paid half that price, which would have been closer to it's true value.

    You did say other forums......

Loads of MSEers rate the panasonic bread maker (read the threads on old style). Its one of the most expensive & 4 times the cost of basic models.
Are they wrong, should they only recommend cheap models?
Are they bragging if they say they have bought the panasonic;)

The links are in post 6 Tim, NOT post 1 which I replied to, thats why I couldn't see any.

How dare you have a go at me for being insensitive to his budget, when it wasn't posted.

    I don't know about you, but I don't have a crystal ball.
