I need to restart the one I had on the PC completely. Thankfully I'd just sent 2 people the housework routines and managed to download them from my sent emails, but have lost everything else :( Will teach me to keep a copy in future. Thanks for bumping this, I've been searching for it as I used it to help do mine.
One day I might be more organised...........

Thank you one and all for making me feel normal - I love lists and organising things - even if I never get round to doing the actual job...I know how and when I should!!! A friend of mine was taking the mick out of her MIL about lists.......I kept very quiet....I will come out of the closet soon!!!
Only read the first page but had a great laugh:rotfl:
I just asked OH if I am the perfect woman.......I'll let you know what the answer is when he stops laughing.:rotfl: :rotfl:

I prefer to stay in my closet, DP knows about some of it, but not a lot, the rest I am only willing to share on here! I have started to use more on the PC as I wanted to save on paper, but this hasn't worked well due to not backing it up. I bought a hard backed A4 book in Tesos today, was under £1. Going to do it in there properly, had some written but not much. Other 'lists' I try to keep scrap paper for, especially the type where people only use one side.

funnily enough when i cleared the cookcook holder in the kitchen yesterday i found my 'control journal' from when i tried flylady a couple of years ago. what did look like it might be useful again was a page with all the tasks i need to do in a week and tick boxes for each week for about 3 months. i think i might dig that out again to make sure i cover everything each week. there was also a morning and nightime routines page but i think i do these automatically now (no kids or OH living here in the week means i don;t have as much to do as most people!)

Nooooo I have to actually go in the kids' bedrooms?

    Please don't make me......

You'll never hear from me again !!!

My son had his room black - walls, ceiling, bedding, blind - his mattress on the floor with clothes clean and dirty to a depth of about 6" on the floor. He then wondered why he felt depressed!!! He now lives in Australia, I think he was permanently scarred by his black world and can only live in light and sun! Miss him though.
  • thank you for this thread. I was going to start a thread as I desperatly need to organise but this fits my need! :)

  • Just come across this thread and it was just what I wanted to see!
When DH and I first moved into our flat 3 years ago, I was running myself into the ground trying to do all the household chores at the weekend. For the last year or so, I've had a schedule - Mondays I clean the bedrooms, Tuesdays I visit my parents, Wednesdays I clean the bathroom, Thursday I clean the loung and Friday I do the kitchen. These leaves my weekend free, apart from an hour on Sunday when I do the ironing.

I'm (hopefully) soon to be changing jobs and our whole routine will be turned upside down. At the moment, I work from home 3/4 days a week and only until 4pm, but when I change jobs I'll be working longer, less regular hours so DH will need to start pulling his weight a bit more so I thought now would be a good time to put everything I do down on paper.

I have a household folder somewhere which is full of recipes, decorating ideas, cleaning ideas etc, but it really needs sorting out. Looking forward to getting started on a proper household manual :)
