  • Hi, I would like to give this a go and this thread will hopefully provide the inspiration I need. I used to sell a few things on ebay and have got motivated to give it another go.

If you find yourself awake at night, utilise the time and get listing.Schedule the listings so they appear at suitable times.I joined auctiva, and with this service you get upto 24 free photos and free scheduling, templates, and many more features.I've used it for a few years now and it's a good service (although there is a monthly fee now).

Keep at it,soon you'll be seeing the benefits !

skintbint - the cakes are amazing !!! What part of the country are you in?

To the poster who was talking about gluten free cupcakes - that is a fantastic idea. My friends mum is always searching for gluten free stuff and everyone loves a cupcake !!!

Well done on the duvet sales - cant remember the user id but you live near me ( West Moors)

I havent won a sausage on the bingo

Thanks for the seasonal tips whoever posted those - much appreciated

Just joined facebook page - I am the wierd one with long black hair

To the poster about small profit items- I read about and watched a programme about a lad who started selling mobile phone accessories - only 20 - 80p profit per item but he sold loads of them. Soon he was employing his gran and then in 6 months he had storage, in 2 years his own unit and so on and so on..... Perhaps not totally factually correct but you get the idea :p So small profit items can really work for some people if you are prepared to do the effort involved. I live 5 doors away from a post office so it wouldnt bother me in the slightest. If you live 15 miles away, you might not want to go in everyday !

I wouldnt buy too much wholesale from ebay - there isnt a great deal on there with a large profit. Use other wholesale sites for better profit. The only problem is the large orders some places require.

  • ooh, forgot to ask for advice

A relative returned their Xmas present to me and refused to accept it saying I had spent too much. After much arguing I could not get them to take it.

Now, do I add the money I get from returning it to my total? Its money I thought I wouldnt get back, but I am not sure its right to add it? What would you do?

Also, I bought it cheaper than it is selling for on ebay. I could list it, make £30 minus fees and paypal, but I am not sure its worth doing. My head is saying even a profit of £5 has got to be worth it, but my heart is saying just return it to the shop and get your money back easily.

    ummmmm..
