ok.... i am going to let one of my previous secrets out of the bag too...
i used to compare book prices that were being sold by the book people with Amazon and ebay ( before the free postage thing) and then if there was a good profit i would buy them via quidco to get 5% cashabck and sell them on quickly, to make sure that i was competative with the price on amazon..... nearly came unstuck though with a gardening book, as it was borderlining 1kg in weight:eek: in the end i sold them without the dust cover to make sure the postage didnt go over 1kg:rotfl:
also if you spend over £25 with the book people you get free postage, plus they got their own loyalty point scheme, so you get books for free....lol..
But i honestly find just browsing catagories that i am not really interested, and just seeing what is listed and what type of prices there are selling at is the best thing you can do to get product knowledge....Work to live= not live to work0 -
Ohhh, I know it is late but I would like to join in too. £10K would clear my debt and also provide enough funds for a dream trip we want to make. We have been invited to a wedding in Japan and would love to go. If we do we want to experience everything and not be scrimping and saving while away. This can provide all out.
I've got a good size pile of stuff to car boot/ebay/amazon and am also going to start selling the jewellery and bags I make. I only make them for myself and for gifts and a lot of people say I can sell. This will be my motivation.
I've also calculated that as I hardly use my car anymore it would be cheaper to use taxis or hire a car for the day when I actually need it than pay insurance, tax, maintenance etc. If I sell my car can I use that towards the total? It won't be much but about £1K for a secondhand car I've had for 5 years, does it count as it'd be such a help!
I'm also thinking clicks, mystery shopping, matched betting (when I get time to get my head round it) baby sitting, surveys, selling carboot/jumble sale goods, selling the stories and articles I write, doing more life modelling, selling my pictures, dooyoo reviews, anything else I come across.
Off back to page 6 to carry on reading. Can't wait to get started!

Hi everyone,
I have been reading this thread from the beginning and would love to jump on board. I need a new challenge in my life, but I really don't know what I will do to reach my £10k, might try my hand at a few things and see what works!
Good luck and I look forward to reading how everyone is getting onxx

Whatagain - If it saves you money, it might be an idea, but dont sell it simplyu to get up on the challenge.. do it because it will be better for you!
And if it happens, then yeah, for sure, add it, it's income that you dont normally have!
Im adding a rebate from the water company, ebay sales.. have a few ideas with buying n selling stuff... if i do need to buy something big, im gonna square up, and HAGGLE! i wouldn't normally, so the difference is going towards the total aswell!
got really inspired by the article by savvy (i think), i read it as i was planning to renegotiate my rent, as they've already said they're going to let me go onto a periodic tenancy, which is cool, as im looking to move to a cheaper place with a couple of mates in march, and dont want to sign up for another 6 months in this place
I'll try to imply that if I'm not here, they make nothing. Ive never been late with rent or had any complaints or anything - Fingers crossed! (getting a call on monday)
Anyone know where any Car Boots are in Warwick? Hi all
everyone who wants to join can join, the list will be updated at some point. The target I believe IS REALISTIC for everyone. You have to aim high or the motivation will not exist on low targets. You have to believe yourselves, trust your gut instinct, research ideas, but do not procrastinate. You can waste many hours searching for new ideas, then finding the day has gone....! We've all done it.
I would get going with selling items on Ebay,Amazon and similar sites.Do the carboots, jumbles, get your freebies.Keep the cash rolling in while you do your research.Dont waste your time, get on with it !
Speak later as I'm still listing (on Ebay dot com )
Later ...............:T:T:T"Do not let what you can't do interfere with what you can do."0 -

I would also like to join please, did ebaying a few years ago and made some decent profits. The £10,000 target seems like a lot but I've just done some sums and it works out at £27.40 a day - seems very achievable!
Reaching it would be a massive step towards paying off my debts.0 -
im very confused by bingo britain; paid £5 deposit, then lost it all so naughtily put another 10 in, however from my debit not CC, i have won a bit and deposited anough to make the £25 withdrawal- only made £2.10 but best to withdraw now then be tempted to gamble it all again.
However, just read the small print and they will return money however it wa spiad- as i paid £5 on CC and then put the £20 on debit card and withdrawing 27.10- will they let me withdraw that as did not pay it all on one card? :eek:First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -
Well my ebay listing went at £5.50 so by the time fee's etc come off I've till made at least 400% on it. Not bad for an initial 99p investment! (Charged the same P&P as I paid)
Just hope that I can get the post office tomorrow as there appears to have been another blizzard :mad:0
