hi all
i really need a kick up the .... i really want to do this chanllange but however i cant seem to find the motivation i have a spare room that i can harldy open the door to all with stuff that needs selling prob on ebay, does anyone know any other places that are good to sell clothes, furniture. also thinking about setting up a shop on the web somewhere to sell my wedding invites and favours that i make any ideas???
thanks
Motivation is the problem for most folks inc myself but once you see money coming in, that all changes!0 -
I haven't got £100 spare to invest so I'm aiming to make as much as possible by selling things, mystery shopping, cashback etc. I'll only update figures once I get the money.
I've already done a mystery shop and have two more booked next week, sold some bits and have over £20 pending on cashback.
A few pages ago someone mention party planning. I do this full time and it is possible to make £10k per year. Just make sure you choose the right company for you. I'm aiming to double my sales figures on last year but won't be including it in this challenge.0 -
I'll give this a go. I do go to car boots etc occasionally, but will maybe take it a bit more seriously. I try and get my presents on money I have earned from things like this, so trying it on a bigger scale might be fun.
10K might be a bit of a stretch though, but you never know! I've got a house and shed full of clutter so I've got a good starting point.
I've been told that my home made tablet is the best, I might make some of this to sell and also growing plants from seed is a good shout to take to the booties. DH is off to afghanistan in March so he will not be around to complain about the house being turned into a jungle.:rotfl:
Will get my book ready and set aside my £100.0 -
Ahh thanks for the replys i might try gumtree instead then.

I'd love to join. I closed down my business as I was losing money (bloody recession!!!) so this thread will not only inspire me to get back on the horse but to make some dosh too in other ways-not sure how though-will have to read through 35 pages of posts for inspiration.___________________________________________

I'm going to start small and flog the ~£60 vouchers I have for Argos and the like. It should go for £55 on eBay but I'm going to post on gumtree as well.0

I found an old stamp collection that had belonged to a Great Aunt, as I started my pre New Year declutter, and immediately thought that it probably contained an unmarked Penny Black and that was my £10,000 sorted before the challenge had even begun. I'm an optimist.
Unfortunately, after spending a couple of hours checking catalogues online, I have come to the conclusion that I would be fortunate to get £5.00 for the whole collection. Now the decision is do I part with it for £5.00 or hang on to the collection for another 100 years???
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Right - have subscribed to this thread for about a week now. Decison time - please add me to the list. Need to do this as cut my hours at workd a couple of months back. Not sure how I'm going to do it - lots of ideas floating about in mind - need to get stuck in.
Best of luck to all who've decided to have a go at this.0
