I'm obviously not going to make £10k from selling my old junk, so i need a plan!
I work for a toy company so could buy toys to resell but not sure where other than Amazon / ebay. Any ideas?0 -

I'd be wary on the legality of that - that is if you're buying from the toy company to sell on. Could be a disciplinary or worse.0 -

Hi all, have been reading this thread with interest and have decided to give it a go, can you add me to the list please. I am new to this site, but enjoying all the things I am reading. Not sure how I will make the £10,000, but anthing extra will be a bonus, so may as well give it a go.
I will probably start properly once kids are back at school. Have purchased a couple of pairs of jeans from littlewoods for £2(all they had in stock at the time) and they turned up today, so hopefully should make a small profit on them.
Have signed up for bingo britain and playe for last 3 days and no success yet - but hopefully my luck will change there - after reading all the wins on here am staying positive.
Iamsamsmum was that you that won a line just now ? If so, congrats !0 -
Hi Lilac Pixie,
Game duell: it's a game site where you could loose lots of money if you try! You play a game against another real person on line. Each pays G£80 to play and the winner gets G£120. Game duell keeps the rest!
However greasy palm will give you £15 if you join and play through £10, so already on to a winner, you could win some of your games so more profit, then leave a small amount of cash in your account and play the FREE game each day on the calendar, (these games are against the computer). When you have a sizable total withdraw most of it and start again. Not a huge amount of money but it all adds up.

Well, I been lurking on this thread for about a week now, and doing abit of research into what maybe good investments and what not.
So with all that in mind, I've decided to join and go for the £10k. If there anough room, could i also be added to the bottom of the list.
You guys are having fab idea's, and its really given me some good idea's too.
Without disclosing too much, I've decided I wont actually even use £100 of my own money to start with. Credit Cards! This will let me buy some items from China for £250, (each costing me £50) and hopefully i should be able to sell them for £100 easy without even trying. Im not sure if this is against the rules, but from what i was lead to belive is that there are no rules.
I would suggest looking into dhgate.com and aliexpress.com. PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOUR BUYING AS THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS REAL, AND CAN BE FAKES!!!!!!
Another thing is, anyone though of a casual market stall. I had a look into these in my area, and its like a open market, and its £10 a stall, when you want it. So if you do bulk buy, then this may be another outlet other than ebay or amazon to release your goods.
Have people thought of getting together and setting up a mixed stall?? You may not have enough on your own to warrent a stall in the market, but if 3 of us get together, and have a go, maybe even if one person gets rd of their stuff. Its still good. GOTTA BE IN IT TO WIN IT!...
I also ear alot about Gumtree, just be careful on that site, as there is NO PROTECTION from fraud, which is rife on gumtree and craiglists!..
Another thing i would say is EASTER/ MOTHERS DAY/ FATHERS DAY/ VALENTINES DAY is coming up real soon!!.... stock up on selling goods. Maybe even decide to make your own custom cards and build up little catalouge of cards that you can then go out and sell.0 -
Go on, add me to the list
I won't be aiming for 10k but I have £100 I can afford to lose so to speak so I'll take up my carbooting more seriously and try some other bits.
PS - does anyone have a good spreadsheet or suggestions for headers for recording purchases/sales etc?0 -

I volunteer to update the list for you Bing0. I love lists.
Apologies to anyone who's on here and doesn't want to be, whose name has been spelled wrong or who wants to be on here and i've missed. Let me know and i'll make the necessary changes.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Those £1 jeans turned up today! I have been trying to list stuff on ebay but the site keeps asking me to sign in even though my details are correct when I hit the "sell" tab. Is anyone else having probs?0
