Does anyone else have a house that looks like a bomb just hit it ... I have potential things to sell, packaging and bags for charity shops seemingly everywhere. Where did all this stuff live before? This place was tidy not so long ago ... ah the memories ;)

Ha ha, your house sounds exactly like mine! My house was spotless when I was pregnant, now I have a 9 week old daughter so I have all the baby toys and stuff everywhere as well as all my potential ebay items, although I have managed to confine the ebay stuff to one room upstairs - sitting looking at it at the moment, thinking that I really need to put some things on tomorrow as missed a day today.

Please can I be added to the list as have been following the thread for as much as I can (although it moves so fast that I can't keep up with it every day!) and realised that I haven't actually officially joined.

My boyfriend proposed to me on New Years Eve, so I will be using any money that I make to put towards the wedding (hopefully 2011) :j. My aim is to ebay anything around the house that I don't want or need anymore - there is a lot, especially clothes. I have made a good start over the last week, and I am going to pull my finger out with match betting as I made a good start with that last year, but seemed to sort of forget about it with all the pregnancy and giving birth etc :D

Thank you so much for this. Its really given me a boost. I do think I've got some good knowledge now for when I hit the car boots and I'm still looking on ebay to but any little gems that might be selling too cheaply based on my research.

This also inspired me to ask my parents what they've got lurking in their loft! :rotfl:I don't have much here other than modern items that don't go for much, but my parents have quite a few things up in their loft that would sell really well (although I could have killed my dad when he told me he'd just thrown away an old ZX Spectrum which sells really well and a load of 80s games which sell well too...not to mention a massive amount of train track which would have sold like hot cakes  ). I feel a bit cheeky for asking because they could sell it all themselves - but dad seems amused at my ethusiasm and pretty chuffed that I'm trying to sort out my finances I think.

    Onwards and upwards :j

If your Dad throws out ZX Spectrums and miniature railway track, grab what you can before he has another urge to clear space ;). Glad you feel inspired, this journey will have it's ups and downs but hopefully we will all end the year richer, in mind and money, having developed the habits of successfully achieving seemingly insurmountable goals. :)

:rotfl: Yep that's the new plan! My parents had the loft boarded out just before Xmas - didn't think to tell me! There's loads of retro toys now sat in a skip  But he's now about to tackle the garage and shed - so I'm getting in there quick! My mum has also said I can sell an old fur coat she's had at the back of the wardrobe for 20 years! Just feel a bit :naughty: about selling fur though.

    Hi guys,

I’ve had quite a bad day life-wise… it took me three hours to get into work because of the weather (it usually takes me 45 minutes). Plus we have frozen pipes so there is no water in my house. Argghhhhhh I am at breaking point.

However challenge-wise I've not done too bad… today I have written seven Dooyoo reviews, photographed 62 eBay items and listed 15... How I have found the motivation I don’t know…

Keep up the good work guys, you are all so inspiring!!

Well done ... you put me to shame today and all without the joys of running water ... I wouldn't have survived the day without an almost constantly running kettle (so cold ...). Hope the pipes survive the thaw . Keep up the good work :).

  • I love this thread, mainly due to the fact that there are lots of people with random sleep patterns. It moves quickly in the morning, quickly in the daytime, quickly in the evening and even now at 1am there are still a lot of people still here !!

No wonder people are struggling to keep up - its a hive of activity :T
