I thought I would start with selling my junk on ebay....I need to get said junk together, photograph and list...BUT, what do I then do with what I can't sell?, shall I invest the money earn't in 'stock' if so what??! Or should I overpay my almost maxed credit card with my earnings? If i reach the goal of 10,000 then OMG I owe nothing lol xx0 -

Daisyclaire - I appreciate your enthusiasm !
However, perhaps do baby steps to begin with.
End goal - Be debt free ( £10K)
Date 31st December 2010
How- ......
Plan for January - sell all junk/stuff at home on ebay
Plan for this week - get 10 items listed
Plan for Friday - list 3
for example !!
Then when its all listed on ebay, you can seriously think about what happens next. You might find something sells better than others, eg baby clothes, or PC stuff, or books etc.. and you can build on that. But dont fret too much just yetVR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID
Airpods repayment £249 £185 £75.90 PAID
Airpods repayment £144 £99.01 PAID
Capital One £14000 -
Don't get disheartened as all research is good research. You are now in a position to more accurately decide on your course of action and you have also acquired knowledge that people who have not looked into the areas you have are without. There are more wholesalers in this world than ebay would suggest (in fact I find a lot of ebay wholesale is really semi retail). Armed with what you know you may bump into some bankrupt stock or police auction etc. which would allow you to realise a profit in these areas ... or you know enough to discount them completely. All good news ultimately.
As you build up your capital from selling things you want to declutter etc. you will also be putting together a stake that will allow you to do deals that would not otherwise be possible. You will also have time to practice selling techniques and channels for when the "proper" business starts. Be as inventive as possible in marketing the stock you have already and get back as much as you can from it (who knows you may turn a small margin!), dust yourself off and hit the brainstorming and research again. Good luck and keep the faith.
This also inspired me to ask my parents what they've got lurking in their loft! :rotfl:I don't have much here other than modern items that don't go for much, but my parents have quite a few things up in their loft that would sell really well (although I could have killed my dad when he told me he'd just thrown away an old ZX Spectrum which sells really well and a load of 80s games which sell well too...not to mention a massive amount of train track which would have sold like hot cakes). I feel a bit cheeky for asking because they could sell it all themselves - but dad seems amused at my ethusiasm and pretty chuffed that I'm trying to sort out my finances I think.

Anyone know how long it takes bingo sites to pay your winnings? I requested £170 on the 5th from Jackpot Joy and its not in my account yet. It says they are doing it by BACS so i would have presumed straight away/next day but maybe this is not the case
Just annoying that they debit your card as soon as you make a deposit but when it comes to paying withdrawing winnings, they are a bit reluctant to do it, it feels like!!
My end of day update, sold 3 more books on ebay which is fab! Hopefully will make it to the PO tomoz!Slimming World Member - Started 05/02/150 -

Well I'm in complete shock! I played BB before I went to bed last night and couldn't be bothered to play more than one game, so bought 12 cards and thought I'd play the rest tonight. Watched the game half-heartedly while trying to catch up on here, the game ended, I went to bed.
I've just logged on now and I have £48 in my account plus £10.30 bonus. I've checked to make sure i'm definitely in my account and I've logged out and back in again to check and there it is!!! I must have won without even realising it! On top of that I seem to be an extra £5 bonus up too. I'm so so so pleased if a little suspicious!
So I'm going to try to withdraw my winnings now and fingers crossed it'll be in my savings account before long :T
Edited to add - found my history on there and apparently I won £50 the night before and my £2 spend last night was from my winnings not my bonus. Doh!:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -
Sally i think BACS is 3-5 working days, it's CHAPS thats is the payment that comes straight away, don't quote me on that though.0

Where´s the Official Whipcracker?
Daisy, bear in mind the interest you´re paying on your CC - depending on your balance and the amount of interest, work out if you´d be better off paying off the card as quickly as possible.0
