  • Hi everyone,
Not made anymoney yet as I am in the planning, investing and waiting for delivery stage! Anyhow, I have managed to resurrect my old blog, so could someone please check it out for me to see if everything works ok? I have nothing listed on there to sell, so I don't think I'm breaking any forum rules asking. Thanks! It's www. shawcastle dot typepad dot com/milliebert. It's not up to date, I go through phases of wanting to blog then change my mind!

wow struggling to keep up with all the posts! amazing speed!! I really want this to last the Whole year :)

Your queen of procrastination (i.e me) is not starting off so well as she thought...
I still Havent listed stuff on Ebay mainly as the digi cam is annoying me a bit - But I do have 2 big bags worth of my sons old clothes, plus some unopened toys he got a few christmases ago that sort of thing.

Also, I have many perfumes and aftershaves which we have been gifted over the years. Some are brand new and sealed in their boxes others have been opened and we've had a sniff of them and thats it. Have some brand names like Emporio Armani, Ralph Lauren, JLo, Beyonce, All Star that sort of thing. some are sets with their co-ordinating body lotion and shower gel too. Have had a look on ebay but have found prices vary so much on perfumes and was wondering if you think I should sell what I have all in one lot or list individually?

I also have quite a few necklaces, bracelets etc (Costume Jewellery) which is in good condition but I probably wont wear again any time soon.

So all in all, have a Lot of small value items to sell and I still havent approached my own or DHs wardrobes or the rest of the house/loft and garage! Might try and have a look at Turbo lister tonight and start writing out the lists.

Here's hoping I dont lose patience with ebay and get on with this as soon as I can!

Have seen many people providing tips and writing inspirational posts. Have also seen books mentioned. So, my contribution to you all is this:

If you can, look into buying this book : "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George Clason. Its only a small book so won't take you that long to read but some of the lessons it will teach are priceless. It also helps people reassess their thinking process especially with regards to debt, wealth and so on. I've always found it a serious source of inspiration when things get difficult and have reread it often!

Hope this helps someone out there and good luck everyone with reaching your goals!!

  • Impressed with some peoples ebay sales and listings. I havent put on anything like I wanted to. Must try harder

For me, ebay is about decluttering and getting some money in the starter pot. I dont envisage listing stuff all year, although if I find a wholesale item and it sells well , then thats a different story !!

I only have 5 things on ebay. I have a brand new sealed Black Wii to sell and to be honest I expected some questions and offers on it, but not a sniff so far - gutted !! Wasnt bought for profit, it was a refused Xmas present from a relative, but outside of the 14 day return policy of the shop. Will keep ploughing on though.

Got my car up for sale - it has been sat in the drive for 3 months with me assuring family I would sell it. However, I didnt, and this challenge has given me the wake up call I needed ! It would have rusted away I think before I did anything.

Also, now this is going to sound terrible, but I have a piece of land I bought about 8 years ago. I havent done anything with it at all. I did enquire a few years back about selling it, but I got so caught up with making a profit etc.. I didnt go ahead with estate agents valuation. But now I have this challenge, I am thinking anything is better than nothing right? If I havent done anything with it in 8 yrs, it aint ever gonna happen is it? So I am now thinking perhaps I'll enquire about selling it again.
