Hi,
Would anyone be willing to share their spreadsheet? I have one that I made to deal with eBay sales but I am sure it could be improved and think it would be great to see what others do?
Thanks!

The information on the attached link, under Registering For Tax, applies to Mystery Shopping, but it is a good explanation of what you need to do to register as Self Employed.
Also, in the section entitled Record Keeping, is a great spreadsheet by UKMonkey that I use, which works out tax liability for each job. Josie will also send one out that is basic but does the job, I adapt these for other sources of income.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Can I be added to this challenge please?0

and me.....sign me up
I should be able to do most of the 10k with overtime, but thats in short supply right now.
It'll be very interesting to use £100 to try and make profit with buying and selling as its something I've never done before!

room for a little one????
My youngest is starting nursery in the new year and I am really struggling to find any work that might fit in around the hours I can work so this challenge might just help.....
I am away for christmas so I will spend some time planning and brainstorming..... So far I have
- car booting - mainly seedlings, young plants mostly veg, as I am going to grow my own anyway.
- bees - I would like to get some hives and then if I manage to get honey then sell to the local farm shop,
- ebay - I am thinking about opening up a shop but this needs more research......
I welcome any advice that anyone wants to share!!
Thanks

Hi, can i join please?
Just had a great few weeks making and selling Hamster beds on ebay,362 so far :T, so my aim will be to come up with other things to make and sell.
This year i WILL have savings!0 -
Hi folks, glad everyone is so positive, am really looking forward to starting this in earnest in the new year, was feeling really jaded this week - attempted assault at work, budget gone a bit haywire, christmas a bit too close for comfort but after reading this feeling more positive - its amazing how much this forum pulls everyone together. (thanks folks)
My game plan for the new year is :-
ebaying - hitting the sales boxing day onwards to stockpile what i can, have been making novelty christmas /birthday cakes for friends but only charging cost so will get the enviromental health in and register with IR after new year and start charging realistic prices (cant believe how much some people charge for a fancy sponge!), will make little business cards myself advertising cakes or get free from vistaprint, will find out about selling foodstuffs/baking at bootsales considering craft fairs but not too sure if would work(you thoughts please), have a shedful of stuff my o/h keeps threatening to get a skip for and last year bought a little hexagonal greenhouse thingy so will give growing bits and pieces a try.
have done the mystery shop before but not for me at the minute dont really want deadlines to work too, have increased hours at work for the next wee while(why after this week i have no idea!!)
anybody any idea when the next free listing day is on ebay?skintbint x
