    Sign me up please.

Another tip: I recently sold some books left over from a School fayre and got £2 for about 6 books. Better than nothing and if you can get them either free or extremely cheap at car boot sales, fetes, etc. Some bookstores buy back academic books.

Hello to all new members,I've had a day off from the internet, but I'm back now for the whole of the Christmas / New Year period......keep focused, read the thread through, there are great ideas for all budgets. The cash will only come if you do it ! It will not magically appear by dwelling about whether you might do it or not.Be brave ,make a positive decision-then go for it.Get your plans in place, then when you have the time spare, get listing. If you list for 5 days today, your listings will finish on Christmas Day.A day where there are lots of people buying online, money burning a hole in their pockets ! A great day for selling. The same goes for boxing day. :xmassmile

At a guess I would say Ebay is your best port of call for selling this item. You will get the 'true' current market value by going to completed and looking at what price they are selling for at this moment in time.No matter what price an item is valued at,IMHO it is only ever worth what someone is willing to pay for it.A good bit of advise is -do not get attatched to items you buy for sellling on,they are only a means of raising money at the end of the day.;)

What a great motivational thread! Even if the target is a little ambitious, it should spur people on to spend a bit of time decluttering and thinking about their unwanted items and ways to maximise their income so it sounds like a great idea!

    Good luck everybody!

There is also an article on the main site about Increasing Your Income that might give you some other ideas. :)

  • if you want a sperate bank account for your challenge money... the best one in my opinion would be the Halifax one....

you get £5 per month if you put in 1k a month in..... the lovely people at the halifax;) dont mind if you put in £100 in and then withdraw it 10 times in the month, and you dont even have to have standing orders etc you will still get your £5

you can also open up an bank of scotland bank account too and they will do the same, and if you do all your banking on line you can just keep transfering money between the two accounts every month, so then you get £10 a month:D so £120 per year... better than alot of interest accounts..

also dont forget the small little earners on-line, as it is suprising how they add up,

    slice the pie.

    cashback sites

free daily scratch card at virgin bingo

    dooyoo reviews

selling books on Amazon ( high fees but you odnt pay them unless the book sells)

saving and weighing in your alu drinks cans

selling your unwanted clothes/textiles to the ragman

    a few i could mention...
Work to live= not live to work
