I have my own little target now, not going for £10k, im going to aim for amounts to cover some of my expenses through the year.

31st Jan - £104.50 to pay 6 months road tax for my van
23rd March - £500 to pay for vans mot(which may come close to this) or to buy a cheap van to run for another year
    June 26th - £650 for a years insurance

    £1254.50 total so far

+£133.50 a month to pay off intrest free loan = £1600 total so debt free

    total now £2854.50

Plus an extra £300 a month(alot, i know) for my £100 a month digs, £80 diesel and £120 a month entertainment budget would allow me to save every single penny of my wages which will be more than £15k next year. = £3600

total from this challenge = £6454.40 for the year or £540 a month! This is alot more realistic for me i think! Anyone doing simular to me?
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

It's funny when some people doubt themselves, the way they defend their insecurity is to knock something or someone.Laugh all you want, already within a week I'm over £300.00 up extra on what I normally earn.I realise this is not vast amounts that some people earn, but for me,I'm very happy with it.On the year it will amount to £1000's,so instead of being an onlooker-join in !

Remember it's not the size that matters,it's how you use it !

So if you only have £1.00 so what, get to a jumble sale and see what you can get a your £1.00......If you have any knowledge on clothes,shoes,books,whatever-you could make 'loads of money' off your initial £1.00 stake.

    He who laughs first,laughs last.......:p

Thankyou for telling all of us your target, this seems very reachable. The fact that you have a van MUST surely give you lots of options for making more money ? I bet there are plenty of people who could give you useful tips.I wonder how much extra it would cost you to use your van for light removals ? :santa2:

  • Hi there,

I was hoping you'd be kind enough to add me to the list of participants, please.

I'm afraid I won't be able to dedicate too much time to this as I generally work about 10-12 hours a day so I'm always so tired when I get home that all I want to do is out my feet up with Corrie!

However, I am looking to spend £50 and make between £2,500 and £5,000- I think that is a more realistic goal.

After christmas I am going to spend a day going around all of the charity shops and January sales picking up some bargains for my £50! So far I have got a few odds and ends to sell on ebay- a bag full of christmas hats and stockings, a men's fragrance gift set and a CD to help babies get to sleep. I have also got quite a few clothes that have been sitting on bigwardrobe.com without any offers, so I am going to put them on ebay as well. Told you it was a random lot!

Just edited to say thank you for the book recommendation and thank you for starting this really great thread!

Well I have had an idea, buy concert tickets and sell them on ebay, I have to be honest I personally hate it when people do it, but its all money and I need it as much as they do!
