  • Hi my first posting so really sorry if this is in the wrong place, I have been watching for quite a while but think I need help and a big kick up the bum to help me actually complete a challenge for once, 2010 is defiantly my year I will aim for the £10,000, thinking positively :S, I will do this even if it is just to prove the other half wrong, he is supportive but doesn't have the faith I do. Have quite a few ideas of how to make money just got to get my bum into gear as thinking will not make me my £10.000. I do not have the £100 just bought a laptop to help me with this challenge so will start with £30.00 so a lot of catching up to do but not imposable.
Please add me to the list

Just came back from our local Tescos and bought a few things to sell on next christmas.
They had soft fluffy reindeer socks originally £2.50 each for 50p. Have bought 20 pairs and hopefully sell them next year for a min of £1.50 each and then people still think they have a bargain :)
Also soft cat sparkly socks for the same price and bought 20 of these too :)
So hopefully £40 profit sitting in the cupboard for next christmas. :)

welcome to the "sceptical partner needs a slap club" dont worry about him we'll support you every step of the way :T
thats me away to start my wee cleaning job in half an hour and to be honest if i wasnt a member on here would have probably phoned and said i wasnt coming:( and thats just because of the O/H. think this must be rubbing off on DS though he has just gone out and got himself a wee job. spent hours on ebay last night and have found a catagory that i think i could make a wee bit off as everything just about sells, not high value but if i throw in an extra 20 items a week and they sell even if i make a £ on each also i dont actually have to hold any stock which is fine so i'm not paying out if they dont sell. have a good day all will catch up when i come back

    Hi everyone!

Please can I join??? I have been reading this thread with great inspiration!!!! This is just what I need as I am currently on maternity leave with a view to going back to work part time in April so any extra cash I can make is great!

Just a quick question... I have got some maternity clothes to sell, and am not sure whether to sell as individual items or make up small bundles? What is your opinion?

Have also joined bingobritain and have won £40, but since they have changed the rules am a bit annoyed I can't withdraw it!!!

Anyway thanks for all the tips and ideas everyone, keep them coming! :j

I will let you know if I come up with anything and keep you updated with my progress!

    Thanks
    Jen

Well what a morning so far-won £5 on Bingobritain (decided to play this through to avoid suspicion and because of the new withdrawal rules ) then won £5 on Littlewoods scratchcard :j, decided to play 20p on the bingo, to avoid suspicion and won £10 :rotfl:

All in all (including eBay) I've made £39.80 since yesterday. I'm pleased with this as I'm finding I'm limited as to what I can do to make extra money. I had ideas regarding setting up a business. I discussed it with the OH, who was very supportive. I had read a lot, done some cash flow calculations, blah blah, but when it came down to actually doing the work, it became very obvious that I'm on incapacity benefit for a reason :o I'm afraid all the positive thinking in the world doesn't overcome chronic illness, at least not in my case :o

Anyhow, I'm not downhearted, if a miracle cure comes along I'm all ready and I'm going to look at other options such as match betting to see if I can get my head round it (as long as the lupus hasn't set up shop in my head again :rotfl:)

Keep up the good work everyone

Part of the Furniture 500 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I planned to start this on New Year's Day and lo and behold made £70 babysitting (technically that was NYE but the money arrived at 2 am on NYD) In terms of investment everything I do involves petrol, as I live out in the sticks. So going to post office, going to a job incl babysitting has to be done by car, so the petrol will be my investment. I'm restricted from doing some things, for example I haven't had any post for over 2 weeks now because of snow, and there won't be any today either as it's coming down thick and fast. I'm still waiting for some things from Amazon ordered before Christmas. They'll have to go back now as I've paid out for other things, so that will add credit to my Amazon account, which I earned doing surveys. Fab!

As long as I can get my car out I'm fine though, and I've just been asked to do another babysitting job tonight too. I'd love to do more babysitting but have found that my present 'parents' aren't keen on recommending me in case I'm then not available for them. It's a problem.

Keep it up everyone! Oh no, over an inch of snow has settled since I started writing this! Roll on spring.
