Going to spend some of today sorting out fabric suitable for baby bootees. I'm going to sort through my craft stuff and see if I can swap some stuff I never use on a forum I go on. I'll try to get stuff I can use for this challenge as a return.

I'm also going to move some stuff down to the dining room to craft in comfort. It's taking me way longer than it should to make stuff as I'm working in the spare bedroom which is way cramped. I'll need to move the demijohns elsewhere though, until I can get the HM wine bottled up. Shame I can't sell that, but don't want HM Customs and Excise on my doorstep!

I really really have to get some proper work sorted today too as I'm back to real work on Monday and have neglected it over the last few days as I'm buzzing about this!
  • flip this thread is moving soooooooooooooooo fast...lol... cant keep up. i hope we have the same response and determination a few months down the line....

flip it is so cold here at the mo, i dont feel like moving, just want to stay wrapped up in my pj's and dressing gown....but maybe another cuppa and and a flick through some threads will get my butt moving....

going to book a pitch at a vintage fair today.... it is in February.... so dont forget forward thinking and planning....

right off to annoy bingo britain....:rotfl:

I'm kicking my challenge off tomorrow with a trip to a local car boot sale. My days budget is £40 Inc admission. I'm dragging my sister along as she has a bit of an eye for trinkets etc. What I am hoping to find is unwanted Xmas gifts that can be picked up cheaply and then ebayed. No specific items to target, just want to see what's there

My local boot sale doesn't restart till the middle of February, so I've got to sit on my hands for now where that's concerned!

Right, off to drag myself away from the PC and sort through some fabric :)

Can I join too please? :D I've been reading this thread since it started but was just going to lurk as I have set myself a challnge to clear £9.5k off the mortgage this year, some of which will come from wages, but this thread is too motivating to stay away, so I will combine the two as I will need lots of inspiration to make the money I need ;)

I have got a few bits on ebay at the moment, planning on putting some more on later today. I also bought some little christmassy cellophane bags from Lakeland sale (75p for 20) and will fill them with xmas stickers / lollies etc and sell at a fayre later in the year with other stuff (no idea what yet though :D)

benben- I have those bags and make gingerbread men to sell at the school coffee mornings, I find they are the first to sell -you should do well.
  • Sorry if this has already been covered, but I have been a bit of a lurker on this thread and have not managed to keep up with all of it.

I have joined Bingo Britain and won £5 so I deposited £20 and attempted to withdraw £25 when the limit was £25. They seem to have changed the amount to £50 when my payment had already been requested and have now declined my withdrawal. My account balance went down to £0 then the next day went up to £25 again.Surely they cannot do this, and surely they are supposed to send members a new copy of the T & Cs if they change.

I sent them an e-mail asking to close my account as it says in the T & Cs that

"Players CANNOT request a payout from deposits made to their account unless they wish to cash out and close their Player Account. Requesting payouts from their account balance derived from deposits and not wins will be deemed a cash advance from the Palatial Leisure Limited and a misuse of our online purchasing system. In such cases, Palatial Leisure Limited may levy a surcharge to offset transaction and administrative costs".

I got a bit fed up with them so I played through £5 which was my winnings and then sent them an e-mail asking to close my account and withdraw my £20. They have sent me an e-mail back saying that I have defrauded the site and they are taking legal advise and possible notifying the police! They have suspended my account so in effect have stolen £20 from me.

I have replied to them saying that I have not made any money from them as I have played my winnings. I just want my own money back. Ref the T & Cs above, it says that they will take an admin fee, but surely not £20 as I regard this as theft.

I am now £20 down and they will not even allow me to keep my account and play bingo with it. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Thanks for the number Scrooge2008 ... now I will have to get moving ;). I have managed to sell a couple of things on Amazon over the last couple of days so I will count that towards my initial stake when it clears. I also went a little mad at the Borders closing day (doesn't help that I am a book fanatic ;)) so when I have had a good read I will put any books that I don't want to keep into the pot too ... this should be fun. Keep up the good work everyone :).

Bingo britain are talking rubbish we all played fairly after all they offered the promotion just because it back fired on them they are holding peoples cash. Surley there is some law on this it's just the same on any bingo site if you win your allowed to take your winnings or what would be the point in playing. They are quite happy to keep your money if you loose but if you win they decide to change the rules in their favour!
If i get chance i'll be looking into the gambling laws of this as if they can get away with that then surely all other sites could do it? Doesn't seem like fair play to me.

not too worried myself about bingo britain.... have won a bean yet!!

Just a quick Q - are people counting profits that they are reinvesting as part of their £10k, or profits not reinvested? Just curious as I haven't decided how to work mine yet!

    Off to do more planning!!!
