I had this on 2 phones, but then got a couple of contracts to replace and haven't used for months. At the time we did it I'm sure it said it was valid for many years, not just 2. Does anyone know if there is a way I keep this working for when the contracts end? Or is it too late already?

Thanks to original poster for this!

I just got off the phone with Orange. I easily got the Evening calls plan AND 300 free texts a month! All for topping up my phone as normal by at least £10 a month.

On top of that, I also got 30 FREE photo messages for one month!

    Cheers!!

if you connected around december times to the promotion then it was 5 years
did you change your paug no onto contract or just get new contracts with new numbers?
if you just havent used your paug sims since connecting a new contracts as long as they havent deactivated (after 6 months usually deactivates if you havent used it) it should just be a case of topping up the £10 again
if you turned the paugs into contracts then theyll apply the new promo im guessing so it would be for 2y not 5y

  • Thanks for the tip, I've just got my free 600 minutes, and the £10 top up doesn't have to be in one go, it just has to be £10 in total for the month (starting date for the month though is the date when you added this service on not the 1st of the month).

P.S. Just a bit of warning the free minutes don't start in the month which you applied.
(eg. I applied on June 22nd, and as long as I top up £10 between June 22nd and July 21st, 600 free evening calls will be added on to my account on July 22nd).

  • All numbers and options dialled are now leading to a message telling me that "Orange can no longer continue with this call. Goodbye!" The freefone no given in the earlier post also warns me that I will be charged for the call. Where to go from here?

Thanks, that sounds good; the payg sims are just lying and waiting- the contracts were seperate. To make sure they're 'active' can I just use them a couple of times in the year, or will they want top-ups, do you know?

I think you do have to pay a one off charge for connection when calling orange. Ask if you can have it refunded if its their fault... Don't know if they'll do it though. Try calling Orange from a landline if you need to, numbers online. Or email them and ask them to call you!

We rang 450, we are on Orange PAYG.

This promotion is an incentive for people to join Orange we were told, so you had to either be a new customer, or if you were a customer now, you had to buy a new Orange Sim card.
