600 free evening mins/month on Orange PAYG
Official Insert:
What's it about?
Orange customers can get an additional 600 free minutes to use per month for 2 years.
What should you do?
Call customer services on 450 from your handset and ask to have the Free evening calls plan added. From then on when you top up by £10 or more the free minutes will be added to your account at the start of the following month.
When can you use the minutes?
The free minutes can be used to call other Orange customers between 7pm and 11.59pm. The plan is available to both existing customers and new customers joining Orange. It can be used in conjunction with all other plans you may already have on your phone except for the Magic Numbers promotion - if you want to change to this you'll lose that plan. The offer ends on 30 June.

___________________________________
New and existing Orange PAYG customers can get 600 minutes (10 hours) per month of Orange to Orange calls for 2 years. Free minutes are applied to your account at the start of the month, following any month that you top-up by at least £10. Offer ends 30/06/06.
To take up the offer, simply call customer services before 30/06/06 and request for the promotion to be applied to your account. New customers and customers upgrading their PAYG handset should ask for it during the sign-up or upgrade process in an Orange shop (Orange Retail Ltd).
I found this promotion in the T&Cs of the 'June offers' leaflet obtained from an Orange shop last week, having not realised that the offer advertised inside also applies to existing customers and upgraders as well as new customers (important bit in bold):
Pay as you go free evening calls
The Free Evening Calls Promotion (the "Promotion") is available for new customers who purchase and activate an Orange pay as you go SIM or phone from Orange Retail Ltd (ORL); existing Orange pay as you go customers who upgrade their phone in ORL (subject to the pay as you go upgrade process), and existing pay as you go customers who call customer services and request the Promotion between the promotional dates of 08/05/06 and 30/06/06.
<snip> (top-up £10/month, available 7pm - midnight, only orange to orange)
The Promotion is available subject to a fair usage policy of 600 minutes per month. If your usage exceeds this amount Orange may, at its discretion, monitor your usage and withdraw the Promotion from your account. The Promotion is available in conjunction with all other promotions and rewards prior to 08/05/06, except for Magic Numbers and the Christmas Free Evening Calls promotion 2005 for 5 years. The Promotion will not be available in conjunction with promotions and rewards launched after this date, unless otherwise specified. Refer to the June Phones & Plans magazine or go to https://www.orange.co.uk for full terms and conditions.
If anyone has got a copy of the same leaflet, please can you confirm those T&Cs and that I have interpreted them correctly for the benefit of other money savers.
I should say I was lucky enough to grab the original 5 year version of this promotion at Christmas, and also saw it advertised in the Orange brochure from April 2006 on page 22 (also for 5 years).
There is now also the Magic Numbers promotion which lets you phone a nominated Orange number for 15p/hour (similar in price to Vodafone's "Stop The Clock" promotion). However, I don't think you can have 'Magic Numbers' if you sign up for Free Evening Calls.

Useful bits from the full T&Cs from the Orange website (seems as thought the 5 year deal is still available):PAYG Free Evening Calls Promotion - Terms and Conditions
The Free Evening Calls Promotion (the "Promotion") is available to:new customers who purchase and activate an Orange pay as you go SIM or handset;existing Orange pay as you go customers who upgrade their phone (subject to the pay as you go upgrade process), and existing Orange pay as you go customers who call customer services or text 'evening' to 1133 or 1132 between the promotional dates of 01/10/05 and 31/01/06.
Customers who top up by £10 per month will receive free evening calls (the "Free Calls") to use during the following month (subject to the fair usage limits in clause 7). Customers will continue to receive the Free Calls, subject to the minimum monthly top levels, for 5 years from the date the Promotion is applied to their account.
Where a customer does not top up by £10 during a Monthly Period, Orange will send a text message confirming they are not eligible for Free Calls during the following Monthly Period.
The Free Calls are available to use in the evening from 7.00pm until 11.59pm, from Monday to Sunday. Calls made outside of these periods will be charged at standard rates.
The Free Calls include person to person calls to any other Orange mobile phone within the UK. All other calls will be charged at standard rates.
The Promotion is subject to a fair usage limit of 600 minutes per month. Once the limit of 600 minutes has been exceeded you will be charged at your standard service plan rates.
The Promotion is available in conjunction with all other promotions and rewards available prior to 01/10/05, unless otherwise specified. The Promotion will not be available in conjunction with promotions and rewards launched after this date, unless otherwise specified. Free credit received under any other promotion or reward will not count towards the £10 minimum monthly top up.0 -

I phoned 07973 100450 and actually spoke to a person who was very helpful and applied the promotion to my mobile.
However he said I had to top up before 20th July.0 -
I tried this earlier on 450, ending up at a service choice that advised I would be charged 25p to continue. On continuing the lady advised I had to purchase a new sim online for £1 or £4.99 at an orange shop to get this.
Have texted evening to 1132, but do not know how to check if this is successful.
Anyone else had any success?0 -
