Do I have to go to the front? Wouldn't it be better if the good ones were at the front, and the bad ones at the back, like when we were at school?:rotfl:

What school did you go to? At my school only the good ones were at the back as the teacher wanted to keep an eye on all the trouble makers.

I was usually sat on her desk :embarasse

And all you who have already started, don't think you're getting a gold star for jumping the gun

Well, when I started there aged 11, it sported a sign saying it was "a grammar school for young ladies". By the time I left at 18 the sign read " a secondary school for girls". Not my fault, honest guv!!!!:rotfl:

Was a really small school of about 450 pupils. The teachers liked the good ones and preferred to keep them close, leave the naughties at the back, or in my case outside the classroom door!! No, that was only sometimes!:rotfl:

I was going to tidy the cupboard under the sink, but if you're not giving me a gold star it can wait until tomorrow, and I'll get back to my wine, and reading about housework! Much better than the real thing!!:D

I need to join, house is a complete tip, this is the motivation I need but it will take me longer than a week. I have 5 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room, 1 toilet, living room, dinning room, kitchen, hall/landing/stairs, loft. Thankfully we did the garage about a month ago.
I have yet to decide where to start possibly the kitchen. I am not doing any cleaning on my birthday nor 30/6 - 3/7 as I'm organising and running a cub camp in Yorkshire. So I predict I will still be doing this challenge when some of you start the next.

    Count me in too.

When I first started reading this thread I though what a brill idea but cant do it this week as its not a good week - then I realised thats why Im in this predicament - I keep putting it off.

Anyway will start with my bathroom tomm as have got a busy day and the bathroom is small, think might try and do the ensuite at the same time. Some rooms wont be done as thoroughly as others as they are half decorated.

Now sadly looking forward to cleaning tomm, hope the feeling lasts but rather think it wont. Think best I go to bed now to ensure have lots of enery tomm.

    See you then.

I'm in too - and I've just joined the FlyLady website :O

I won't be able to start tomorrow though - cos I'm leaving at 6am to go to work and won't get home til 8pm earliest. I'm sorry but no housework after that. However, the rest of the week will be as follows :

    Monday - Working allllll day.
Tuesday : Our room - hasn't been looked at since we moved so awful!
    Wed : Study - Arrrggghhh!
Thurs : Working again so I think I'll just stick at shining my sink :p
Friday : Kids Bedrooms (ready for car boot)
Saturday : Living Room & Kitchen.
Sunday : Car boot & Bathrooms

Tis a good plan - my plan when I moved in was to thoroughly do (i.e skirting boards, behind stuff etc) one room a week to keep on top of it all. So far I've done that - 0 times!
Debts @ lightbulb moment (13/06/2006) - £59,842.23  All commercial debts now clear!!! :T Debts April - £20,000 to family (incl extra £10k borrowed for house deposit). DFD - Aug 2014
Proud to be dealing with my debts
    Goal of the month - £500 on groceries for family of 5 - Apr 2011 - £620! :( May - £454.85 so far.

I like your idea of a three hour sleep, if I could find the bed but I thought I'd tidy all the clothes off the driers....guess where to....

Lol - ah, see - another me!!!

:o oops, I'm still doing it, but am getting there have made good progress! I just wish it wasn't as dull as dish water, I even managed to bring a box of stuff out of the garage to tidy up - I really must be desperate, I have a house full of stuff to tidy up, but no I decide on the garage!!!

A couple of years ago I started on an access course and I recall one of our tutors telling us just how much we were suddenly going to love house work. One day when I had an assignment to complete my ironing suddenly seemed very appealing and urgent - and suddenly I knew exactly what she had meant :rotfl:

Somehow my subconscious seemed to realise it was monday morning and wanted me to get started so woke me shortly before midnight and I am so not sleepy!!! Tired, yes - but unable to drift back off (unlike during day time. I'm sure my body clock thinks it's in Australia with Aussie lass!)
Going to sip some chamomile tea before trying again.
I've now decided on my 'plan of action' for next week - or at least what order to do the rooms in!

Monday - Bathroom & landing (so I can enjoy a soak if my muscles ache with all the scrubbing! :A )

Tuesday - My bedroom (so I can sleep easier at night and wake refreshed and smilling vs stressed to bed and swearing during night because I've stood on a plug/hairbrush/dog bone  )

Wednesday - Hall & living room (because rather large box will hopefully be collected from hall by then :T )

Thursday - Kitchen and diner (by then they'll be back to chaos even with frequent tidy ups!)

Friday - office and PC (delete some files and attempt to sort connection probs - I will probably be having withdrawl symptoms by then and in need of a 'surf fix' :p )

    Saturday (weather permitting) - Garden.

It's going to take me a few weeks to get everything to a good standard, but I thought if I can concentrate on one room a day and then maintain those that are done at least I'll be making progress. I'll then follow the same pattern for a few weeks until things are under control (some time next century then.... :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )

    Good luck everyone :T :T :T
