Kazonline....what wise words from your tutor! I proved that theory true - I've recently completed an access course and I even went as far as cleaning windows to avoid essays. Some of my classmates also complained of the same phenomenon, and suffered from random attacks of extreme ironing, hardcore floor sweeping and repetitive strain injury caused by blitzing of back of cupboards:rotfl:.
I wonder if the above phenonomen will be reversed tomorrow and we all start commiting random acts of reading weighty text books...nah didn't think so!
Well, I'm going to copy Kazonline by about 90% and more or less follow her plan of action. I was initially going to start with the sitting room - I went to the shop specially to buy rubber gloves in order to deal with the cat hair on sofas problem. I spent £6.28 but forgot to buy the gloves so that's the sitting-room delayed until Wednesday to give myself time to get the gloves.
So tomorrow it's the bathroom and landing - I'm also going to tackle the stairs, ie dust the banisters and around the spindles, as well as hoover them. I'll go through all my make-up as well - most of it needs chucking as it's mostly very old.
It's quite exciting to think that this time next week the house will no longer be in a state of shambolic untidiness!

Morning all
I hope you all have your cleaning heads on? I see some of you have already
Lets up and at em girls! I'm suffering from a severe lack of sleep and DS is home sick with the sunstroke but that's still not going to stop me.
Remember to get prepared first and take everything with you that you need and if any of you are hoovering this morning remember to check that your bag doesn't need changing/emptying before you start. You don't want anything stopping that momentum when you get going.
Also remember two boxes/crates/baskets and a bin bag for sell/charity shop/bin.
Good luck everyone, have an enthusiastic dayOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning Fly Ladies! No Fly Gents yet?? :T :T
I've just read the whole thread while children getting dressed. I'm now in, breathing heavily, sweaty palms, trying to wriggle into the middle so that no-one spots me.
Have signed up for FL, and she's already sent me 31 things to do! Aaarrghhh!
Today will start with downstairs loo, shine my sink, eating end of the kitchen. Will then make a start on the dining room, with my fly-timer (45 mins, is that right?).
Anyone know where the best place to buy Stardrops and microfibre cloths in York or Selby? That's my task for tomorrow, when I collect my curtains. Will then use them on Friday when I finish the kitchen, and do the bathroom.
Will try hard to resist the siren call of the garden. Never believed I would hope for bad weather so that I could clean and tidy with a clear conscience!
Right, I'm going cleaning, I may be some time....................:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Morning All
Am currrently sitting in my office as need to do some paperwork before I start FLC - today will be the bathroom and ensuite. I may even thro on the airing cupboard as that is all bathroom related but will see how I go. Have needed to sort out the towells in there for ages - wont chuck them but they will be relagated to the garage.
Was feeling a bit overwhelmed yesterday trying to fit it all in but have remembered that we are at home this saturday as we have a party in the evening so that is an extra day for the FLC. Yay!!!
Anway will get on now - Happy cleaning everyone0 -
I did warn you my good intentions evaporate like the morning mist!!:o
I have been to the gym this morning, from 7 - 8.15 am! Came home and had breakfast, then had to check this site. Had to check my e-mails. Back to this site. Saw Martin is on the Wright Stuff, so had to watch it to support Martin!:DHelp, didn't realise it lasts for an hour and a half
No point stopping now, I will start once it's finished. Honestly. I will.
Oh, Martin's bit is over!! I can switch off now and get going. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Tea break time for me.....got loads done already..
Dresser draws emptied, cleaned, sorted and reloaded.
All pencils and felt pens, sharpened/working, re-boxed.
All boxed games checked for contents and boxes repaired where needed.
Book case, tidy, dusted and sparkling
All plants in the bath, been showered and dripping dry.
Sofas swapped for even wear and throws changed.
Bottom end of room dusted, wiped down and hoovered......
I'll finish my tea and start up this end of the room.....filing, dusting, hoovering. Just about to pop the main back cushion covers from the sofa in the machine and hang out the load that's just finished.
How's everyone else getting on???? No don't answer that - get on with it!!!!!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Well done, Pooky. You make me tired thinking about what you've achieved so far! :A
I've put away camping stuff in the shed. In the process, had so shift some boxes from the top shelf to make space. Result - found practically new pair of gardening gloves, and my Garden Stick.:j
DH made it for my birthday 2 years ago, and I promptly lost it. It has my name burnt into it, is marked in 10 cm and 25cm increments, then varnished. DH made it as I'm rubbish at planting out in straight line and at correct spacing. Will use later today, once I've finished FLing.
Fly Lady says I need a SOS pad to make my sink gleam. Any idea what this is, what it looks like and where I can get one?
Power to your elbow grease!
