I really should do this, but it's so hot:rolleyes: I can't do housework in this heat.

Still this a really good way of doing it - one room at a time.I look at my windows/skirting boards whatever and think 'They're all so dirty and there's so many of them,it's just too daunting',but one room at a time is do-able.I will have a go;)
  • Count me in too. I seem to have spent more time outside the house than in recently with all this lovely weather. My house needs a good blitz. School holidays will be upon us before we know it, and then nothing will get done!!

The living room on monday...... here I come.

I'm up for it :) I keep meaning to do it (like today, was going to bottom the dining room, but ended up gardening instead)

I'm definitely one of those poeple who moves something to the kitchen, notices the plants need watering which reminds me to do the outside tubs, when I see the path needs sweeping, when I see some rubbish to bin, which reminds me the bathroom bin needs emptying but on my way up I get sidetracked by having to put the boys toys away.... etc etc etc..... :D

My tip is to always take an empty box (I use a laundry basket) into the room and you just fill it with stuff that needs to be taken OUT of that room. It's so easy to do in one hit and not in the 57 runs I used to make :)

Ok - tomorrow is my bathroom, cos I have my mum's house to clean tomorrow anyway.

E'lass - You only need to do them if they are visible to the naked eye ;)

thriftlady - I know just what you mean about housework in heat ... couple of thoughts running through my mind are ...

~ get it over and done with earlier in the day before the oppressive heavy muggy heat settles in
~ have fan going in the room I'm working in
    ~ a cool shower/bath [strike]to salve my fevered brow[/strike] reward

  • The garden is my downfall too. Can't complain, I love it. Its when I get to come back into the house that I see what I should have been doing!

Radio on..... Boogie.... very loud (over the noise of the Dyson!) and I will do the skirtings and windows.... now its been mentioned - was going to let them slip my mind.... I going to feel guilty now If Idon't do them:wall: :wall:

    Never mind

Okay Queenie, thats easy then, I can draw the curtains and I won't see the windows :)

mmm I do this too, the only problem is I then have several boxes, Tesco blue ones, full of stuff that I still have to find a spot for :o

I have, just now though, made a start on preparing stuff for the recycling bins.
  • I have a "charity shop" bin liner on the go perminantley. When it gets full it goes.
