To Clare21 and emweaver
Wishing you both a merry christmas and heres hoping for a glitch full new year with lots of lovely people like clare taking the time out of their day to spot, copy and paste, post on a thread, answer questions, seek out solutions, spot codes, direct people to them etc etc etc.
I doubt very much that clare sits around all day pondering how to increase her thanks quota on a web site forum. Not really one of lifes ambitions for most people now is it?
I think clare is the type of person that in this cynical world many of us have forgotten actually still exist. Shes a human being who when she sees something that might help others goes out of her way to make sure that others know about it. More than that, even though I believe she would have better things to do, when some can't find what they want, if she knows the answer or where the answer is she helps again.
This forum exists because of people like her, this forum works because of people like her.
She adds to the world, she doesn't take away from it.
People like clare, make me smile, make me happy, make me far less cynical,
As far as I am concerned people like clare can't be thanked enough.
Merry christmas to you all on MSE and heres to another New Year where we help each other through some difficult times and make each other smile-which after all is priceless.
thats spot on- i've just been scanning back through a few of claire21's posts and she just seems really kind and helpful.
i'm on maternity leave at the moment with the prospect of no job to return to. i've got a lot less to spend this xmas and thanks to claire and others on these forums i've managed to stay in budget and get some great stuff for my family. in fact, i think i've managed to buy everyone more stuff and better quality things this year on this reduced budget!!! i managed to get a £40 order from m&s for £12.55 yesterday and have just had my despatch email this morning so thankyou very much claire21July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments0 -
i am not miserable spiteful or jealous just seems a bit sad copying other peoples bargains or posting your own again and again just for thanks i have found some bargains from her but the majority are copied. didnt mean to cause offense just pointed it out as the board is cluttered enough without duplicates.
I think you may be seeing her posts in the wrong context.
For the last few weeks when I have been in and out of the Grabbit board a LOT (OCD:D), claire has been posting new finds ( I cannot wait to see my childminders face when she gets a coast top for christmas this year).
She also pops into fast moving threads adding extra info where possible, linking to codes, finding a way around this hurdle or that.
She is being HELPFUL to us, not spamming.
In fact I'm getting a bit hot under the collar here, because the way I read you're post that seems to be what it's implying.
I think I need to pop into the M&S 75% glitch thread, and look at some of their posts to remind myself of what I really feel the site is about.
Not just a sucker for sweeties..:o0 -
I placed an order last night and 24 hours later it's still showing as not yet despatched

Greed and cake?!:rotfl:
Add me to Claire's fan club too - I've taken advantage of many of her posts on here - but am wondering if Emweaver is a hot deals member also like myself and is having to rush and act on the HDUK deals posted over there before Claire21 posts the deal over here and the item sells out!
It's good to share and saves having to have both sites open!
Anyhow thanks to Claire on this deal  -I managed to get a Percy Pig mug and a couple of the mini christmas stockings free when I ordered this gift boxed PJ set for OH (has £10 off at mo) as was looking for something to bump up the spend to use the Dec Spend and save code.
The PJ's look nice and come in a gift box and my order with the stockings and Percy came to £20.02

My cups have just been delivered, etimate delivery was 15th
, i am so lucky to get them though as they were delivered to an address further down the street who was also getting HDN delivery, i am going to contact them and ask what signature they have for me cause i aint signed anything, thankfully the person who recieved them was honest enough to return them to me!!! Thrifty Gifty Money Making =£280 Sealed pot challenge 1192 Toluna = 77339 Bingoport = £10 redeemed + 33470 -
Just thought I'd let you know that M&S are still delivering earlier than the date given in your email confirmation...mine was 18th and it arrived just now.
Unfortunately instead of a Jelly belly (jelly beans lol) mug and sweet gift set they have packed me a ............
BIRD HOUSE!!!!! Ok to be fair they looked alike.......I had ordered 2 mugs and I got one of them and this strange substitute and they were both wrapped up tightly in bubble wrap .....one sounded a bit more 'clunky' than the other when I moved it so I thought I'd better unwrap and see if the mug was broken.......:rotfl:.....cue wooden bird house feeder!!
LOL Will be taking that back to the store.....just hope they have another mug for me to swap it with!
So the moral of the (long winded
) story is...check your parcels and don't just assume your prezzie's are now sorted or there will be some funny looks coming your way on Christmas Day!
