    This is the bottom line.

    economists, poliicians, or whatever, can come up with all the schemes they want. But their schemes will only last so long.

    The answers given so far are:
    - educate girls, educated girls have less babies and have them later
    - provide contraception everywhere, for free

    While the programme has been on (1 hour) the world's population has gone up by 9000 people.

    I'm doing my bit! I don't have any kids and never shall and I'm thinking about giving up bathing. I'll be lonely but I'll have plenty of time to buff up my halo.

    I'm kind of glad I didn't see the programme: much too depressing. This isn't particularly stop-press news, warnings have been made about dwindling resources for decades now but no-one was listening

    We are bad about water use. :(

    I would like a child. I might buy one, thats fairly eco friendly I would have thought. Only, people don't seem to want to sell them

    I think it was the fat chav-scum mother who hid her daughter at her p.aedo uncle's house, while going on a media-fest for money; they dreamed up this brilliant plan after watching the coverage about Maddy and her family.
