My family think I am mad but I have 1756 green points this quarter - aiming to fly to newzealand on rubbish!- does that mean it would be "carbon neutral"? :T :j :T
Fantastic!! I walked the dog this morning and found a picnic table strewn with cans and bottles. A lot of people about (I have some pride) so have resolved to go back early tomorrow morning to collect them up. Went out with friends last night and they thought it hilarious when I took my empty bottle to the car to take home. "Every little helps!"
Brilliant idea to get all the backlogged dumped recylcling. I was wondering about starting to collect them at work (think: Contents of half a dozen trains every day plus the mess room) but probably the p*ss taking would get too much! I think raiding the local green boxes might be amusing, I'll just have to refrain from rummaging in bins.

So is this recycling centre just at Shrewsbury, or do any of the other stores have one?0

You would have to change at Crewe but I think it could be done! Catch a 64 from the bus station goes past the new store but they only run every hour. You'd have to explain the four sacks of rubbish you are carrying though, and a bit of a !!!!!! if the machine is out of order..... leave them at Shrewsbury station care of me and I will dispose of them:rotfl:0 -
Ask family and friends who don't use the extra points coupons they get with their quarterly points can youn have them, if the cashier dosn't notice the different name you can use them with your clubcard, also handy if you've got a few for the same thing as you only have to buy 1 item but get the points for each coupon! (if that makes sense)0

Just a bit of advice from me.
Just because Tescos offer points, it doesn't mean they are the cheapest. And even when you use the points for "Deals", it might have worked out cheaper for you to buy from another place.
e.g., Tesco Breakdown cover is (I believe) around £60 for 1 car for a comprehensive cover. AutoAid is only £32.
Getting points is great, I try to do it often, but make sure its the cheapest option
I've been using clubcard points to pay for Rac for years. get cover for all my family. I've yet to find it cheaper anywhere else.Donna0 -
My daughter uses rac through clubcard but was going to go with autoaid because they do include some homestart up to 1 hour I think whereas tesco dont on clubcard. The main thing that stopped her using autoaid is having to have a credit or debit card on you all the time in case of break down and having to have enough money in her account if she needed any repairs or have to be towed miles back home as you have to pay this up front before you get reimbursed later by autoaid, if its a long way it could be hundreds. Being a student its not really practical for her to use autoaid just now but may do in the future as for the service they offere its identical to tesco plus some homestart for less money but its just having the money to pay before getting it refunded thats the problemThanx

All of its do able on one bottle I would think.. Im not sure about the North American thing though, I didnt know they grew grapes in the north of the USA. (my wine knowledge is only on the slightly larger Christmas sized stamp though :rotfl: )
Would any ole Californian Finest work instead? Someone...? .. Anyone? haha
Eupho
Just to let you know that I bought 3 mini-bottles of Blossom Hill Chardonnay (£1.86? each) and was able to use 3 x the 100 points on Finest (yes, I know, but it worked!), 1 x 100 points WYS £4 on wine and 3 x 50 points on North American.:T
SA gave me back 2 x 100 points WYS £4, so till only recognised one lot of £4 IYSWIM.0 -
Is it possible to check how many clubcard points you have, online. As i sent a couple of old phones in the recycling bags (for 500 points) a few weeks ago, and i am curious as to whether i have received the points yet.
I need to be able to do it online if possible as i cannot get to a store for another couple of weeks.
Can somebody point me in the right direction please0
