I am afraid that you can't transfer money to clubcard plus from credit card and even if you did there would be no points for doing so as it would be treated as a cash advance ( which would incurr immediate interest) or cashback (which gets no points).
Please remember that if you top up CC+ with cash on the way in then you can use it straight away but if you pay in a cheque then it can take ages.

    Paul.

PS..Clubcard plus is like a revolving credit card only for use with tesco
Thanks Kremmen.....but....aaaarghhhh!, you confirmed what I though but hoped it wasn't:o

So am I correct then in saying, that if I buy items in tesco with my tesco credit card I'm getting 2pts per £1 anyhow, and if this is correct, then the clubcard plus card only benefits those who do not have a tesco credit card, since it allows them to get 2pts per £1.00.

    Or am I still a bit confused:rolleyes:

I think " still a bit confused" maybe.

I have a Tesco finest platinum card which gives me 1 point for 2 pounds wherever I spend.I presume that as I get 1 point per pound in Tesco with standard clubcard that I get 3 points for £2 if I use both.I don't know about the NEW type credit card.

For other people who are interested :-Clubcard plus is a revolving credit card that can only be used in Tesco which gives you double points..you decide how much to put in every month and you get to spend this ( or get cashback ) in Tesco..They may give you a credit limit or may not.
Application used to be thru CS on 0800 505555.

I would really love to get these Tesco clubcard points but my nearest Tesco is 35 - 40 miles away and they obviously do not deliver in my area. BTW I live in Northern Ireland. Is there any way I could get clubcard points as I do a big shop there but only about once a month?? :o

Its not a credit card but more like a bank account with a cash card which you can use in tesco and in an RBS ATM. They do give you an overdraft limit.
but he best part is even if you (like me) do not ask for a credit limit it allows you to go in to overdraft without any charges(no unauthorised charge). I did conrim with them the first time it happened as I was worried i will land with a £30 charge that banks normally do!!

The trick to this is when u use the card you should atleast have a positive balance even if it is 10p. I did it a couple of times by mistake. but once tried it at the tesco petrol station with 50p credit and bought petrol worth £40.

ofcourse you go to pay it back, i just wanted to try to see what loophole they had!!

I'm thinking of buying a new laptop from tesco to give the clubcard points a boost. I'm only after something quite low end for £400-£450. Or does anyone think it would be more economically sound to buy one elsewhere?

Look at dell online, you can get one for about £350 - and remember quidco for extra discount.

I phoned and asked for a Club card plus this evening.. You can only get one by calling (according to an article I read from Martin before i did it).. Im sooo looking forward to having one of those instead.. bit of a hassle to remember to get some cash out to take to the CS desk to top up before I shop though.. But still.. extra points YAY!

    Edited to add:

    Oh here it is-
Earn Double Points. Receive 2 points per pound on instore/online shopping paying by Tesco’s little known Clubcard Plus account. It requires a standing order, but just do this for £1/month then top it up at customer services before each shop, as cash is immediately credited. Avoid going overdrawn though as the rate’s not good! Applications are phone only, the official number is 08457 104010, but you should be able to get through via freephone 0800 406050 too. (I used the Freephone number- it worked just fine)

Annnnd this evening.. I came across a NEW way of Wombling..

My kids and I were on our way home from a long journey.. on the way back we stopped at out local tesco.. 10.15pm.. almost deserted carpark..
While I was trying to fix something on the boot of my car (dont ask).. I had a brain wave!.. The kids (young teens) were bored.. so I gave them something to do. ;)

After 5-7mins *Wombling* the carpark (AND BIN!!) haha.. They brought me back 300 (total) of unused points.. and two till spits.. one for 75 points on 160s Typhoo teabags.. and one for 200 on a £8 spend on kids clothing :T New Socks all around for the Wombles in training then!

I just went to the CS desk with my first *stash* of Wombled receipts.. I forgot to ask here how many I should take at a time.. So I tried 20 haha.

Luckily for me there was a man infront of me.. not 100% :: taps head ::

He had two (used) pregnancy testing kits on the desk.. He was there for aaaages.. trying to ge them to understand that his GF was/is pregnant and that obviously as the two Clear blue tests were wrong. (they were negative-he showed me and the lady behind me too haha)...They must be faulty and he wanted a refund. :rotfl:

Anywayyyy... When it was my turn (while they were waiting for the big boss to come down and talk to the man) The CS said to me that they could only put through 3 receipts at a time.. She said it was okay as long as they werent more than 2 weeks old (??) and she could do 3 now and 3 after my shopping, but i'd already been.

Thankfully for me.. she was laughing so much about the man, that she put 20 of them through for me instead.. YAY!! 220 points whoop! (wish id taken the rest now!)

I told her I was fed up with my son and husband not using the ClubCards id given them and just throwing there receipts in the back of there vans (I was trying to come up with something that would explain why the receipts were so screwed up and dirty haha- not that I had fished them out of the BIN outside ;) ) and therefore I would be bringing them all in in future. :T

and for the record.. im divorced and my son is in school.. has no job and is too young for 12a films let alone drive a van :A
