there are only so many times you can buy an extra bottle of wine to hit that target

Good job you don't live in Scotland as since the minimum pricing earlier this month, you can't collect any Nectar points from any alcohol,

I!!!8217;ve had an email from eBay today stating that from June 22, 2018 the maximum Nectar points you can earn on a standard transaction (excluding bonus offers) is being capped to 300 points-so if you purchased something for, say, £400 you!!!8217;d only get 300 worth now.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

I don't bother... I was using the card every time I went to Sains (my nearest mainstream supermarket), but it took about 2 years to get up to enough to cash them in. Then I tried and there were other rules about having to spend more than £X or something, so I tried again 2-3 weeks later when I wanted to buy something that met that criteria, only to be told that I couldn't as I wasn't in my "Home Store" (of which I knew nothing).

It's all too hard to keep the card on me and whip it out, just to wait 2 years to get up enough points, to then spend enough the next time, in the correct stores ..... b4lls to it and b4lls to them.

They have very few products I'd buy from them in any case, especially as they keep whipping old favourites off the shelves and replacing them with new/expensive/thoroughly middle class and "trending" products/ingredients.

Just b4lls to the lot of them ... and it ... and all cards that just suck you in to spending money with them, often on things you'd have never bought if it weren't for being "hooked" on the idea that you were "saving something".

Anyone know if this is running again this year?
  • I have stopped collecting Nectar points in sainsbury's on the Isle of Wight due to the pilot point system still on the go - it is a total pain and for the first month after the pilot started I did not earn a single point as I did not need to purchase any of the items SB's deemed I had to in order to earn points.
Speaking with the cashiers in SB's during that month indicated they felt the same way I do and said customers were not happy and were looking forward to hopefully going back to the old system.
I now shop at Tesco and am happily collecting loyalty points without all the hoops one has to jump through every week in order to collect points as SB's on the Isle of Wight.
Will be interesting to see if the SB's pilot system gets implemented throughout the rest of the UK.

I think there might be a roll out already. I am in London, and I have the new card, but I think we are worse off, than better
Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!
  • I am done with them - now I am unable to log into my account with messages to say I have failed too many times (on first attempt) and on the next attempt it says it has timed out as I have taken too long.

I was trying to log in after receiving this message yesterday:

"We can see you have separate accounts and logins for our new Nectar and Sainsbury's Groceries websites, which is a little messy of us.
To tidy things up a bit we've joined these accounts into one, so you can log in to both websites using the same email address and password (lovely jubbly).
To log in to new Nectar next time, you can either:
    1. Use your Sainsbury's Groceries password
    2. Reset your password next time you log in
or 3. Reset your password right now using the button below."

Tried to phone to see if it could be addressed that way and after 10 minutes of listening to their choice of music I put the phone down.
I cannot contact them online as you need to log in to do that and since that does not work for me I am washing my hands of them altogether.

Maybe with some stroke of luck someone from SB's might just get to read this and do something - highly doubtful but I suppose there is always hope...

Wishing you luck with your experience in London trinidadone.
  • Is it just me, or is Nectar's heyday over? There are only a handful of shops where you can spend Nectar, and now Expedia will no longer allow you to redeem points with them, as of 15 December, 2018. As someone who collects lots of points, I feel like I am not getting what I signed up for :(
  • I have been watching for this as do it every year. 2 years ago i doubled up to £240, last year £200 and this year they are rumouring £25 into £50. This is a real shame and hardly worth the time and effort.

Having read the latest MSE email which mentions the 2 for 1 deal on the horizon from Nectar, I tried logging in to Nectar online to check my points. I was unable to do so as it said there was a problem with my card. I rang them this morning to be told that eBay had incorrectly allocated me over 2,000 points and had blocked my account whilst they sorted it out. I contacted eBay who said that I was not alone with this problem but it wasn't of their doing and to go back to Nectar!
Anyone else suffering with this please?
