  • a while back I filled in a Talk Talk survey via the Nectar website for some points but ever since then I`ve been getting nuisance phone calls from them asking me about switching from my current BT line to them......told them 2 times already to stop calling but they called against last night.

Anyone else had this problem? Wish I never filled in that bloody survey now:mad:. Never even expressed anything about switching

Oh dear I appear to have upset my old landlord...

He's just called me to say that he's noticed that his wife's nectar card is now not registered with the energy bills supplier and did I know anything about it....

Let me explain. The bill arrives in his name but the tenants use and pay for the electricity. Being a new tennant to the house about two and a half years ago, I presumed it was an old tennants nectar card, checked if my new house mates minded (one of them didn't know what a nectar card was!) and promptly called energy supplier to have it changed to mine. I moved out of that place over a month ago and didn't bother to unregister my nectar card with them.

LL seemed quite annoyed on the telephone but I explained it was an innocent mistake and afterall I had been paying the bills so I was entitled to the points.

I guess he'll have changed it back now!

Anyway just a reminder that its an easy one off phone call to have your nectar card linked to your electricity bill. But also if you are a landlord and the bills are in your name (!)... you may be able to make points from your tenants if they're not as savvy as you!

Re phoning the Thomson numbers (and I didn't know there was a limit - thanks ) I've actually never done this because I don't know how to work it.
Do you have to make up a spurious reason for phoning or do you just say "Hi, I only wanted the points! ??
    Stop looking for answers....
The most you can hope for are clues.....:)
  • i just phoned the company with the nectar logo put my nectar card num in and when connected to the company put the phone down, got my 50 points

I have just over 9000 Nectar points and was thinking of converting them to Argos vouchers £2.50 for 500 points.
Can someone let me know if I'll receive a bunch of £2.50 vouchers or a £48.00 voucher? And if it's the former can you use all the £2.50 vouchers at once or is it on each purchase? It's not really worth it if it's on each purchase.

    Cheers :)

There are no paper vouchers involved - they just swipe your Nectar card in Argos and convert the points into a discount off what you're buying (every 500 points = £2.50). And yes you can spend all your points at once, but 9000 points will be £45 not £48.

is it me or are nectar points pretty rubbish?

i have spent a year buying fuel at bp and sainsbury garages and have about 4000 points. it seems redeeming this as £20 at argos is the best option. £20 sounds so little for 4000!!! :)

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
