It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Bookie, shop has its busy days and in general its been good in the run to Christmas but come the new year who knows!

Ive just had the saddest moment with bea :( and we have both been bawling together. Out of no-where she said she didn't want me to die. I said everyone had to die some point *cue tears* and tried to reassure her that I hoped I wouldn't die when she was a little girl *cue more tears* but she would be a lady, bit like Nanny is and how great nan is. But who is your daddy, mummy. Grandad tim is, but grandad tim died, that means you don't have a daddy *cue more tears*. But I don't want you to die Mummy, I would be sad *more tears*

Blimey this parenting lark is exhausting

  • Random, are you making the layers too thick with the mince and sauce?

Not sure to be honest. First one was such a diaster as i didn't make the mince sauce thick enough, and the cheese layers was just that - cheese (didn't know what was required... knew it was cheesy soo....) yeah that was a real disaster.

This time again just too watery - dish was too big and not the right "shape" plus I thought I had 500g mince but it was only 250 ... but better! Was very tasty but it is just a puddle again... a thicker puddle!! But a puddle... got another three portions to put into the freezer for the future so it hasn't gone to waste at least!!

Next time - right amounts, plus less water, plus a right shaped dish!! Gonna post up some photos in my diary I think :D

Awww, I don't think anything you say in one of those conversations will satisfy them or prevent tears!

random, use a serrated knife and score the lasagne and break off to shape the edges if the dish is round. it doesn't matter if the pasta is broken as you won't notice once it's cooked.
