Morning!

Hope everyone is well today, I have just done the school run and over the course of today I need to spring clean the living room ready for the tree going up tomorrow, and pack away the old pc that lurks in the corner.

I had an expensive day yesterday, but have almost finished the Christmas shopping...and am now also the proud owner of a hockey stick and shin guards! :Dand a new red coat...

What's everyone else up to today?

(you have my permission to laugh at me if i ever buy golf clubs! - never gonna happen, tried it once and was utter rubbish, so not ever even gonna go there.. not even for free pro lessons! lol)

I can see the appeal of hockey, short skirts, long socks - good look on you snags!

Nowt new with me today.... just pooting on!

Ohhhhh no lol, there will be no skirts!! :D

And Mr Sunday doesn't even know I'm giving it a try. I used to play at school and loved it, and going to watch a couple of matches has made me really want to play again, so I went to watch a training session last week, and am going to join in tomorrow.

Not the same hockey club as Mr Sunday though. I wont tell him unless I like it and want to stick (ha ha) at it.

  • Good morning Snaggs and all who follow.
    Hockey stick.
    New coat. :j but :naughty:

    Today I will be:
moving off the settee and getting dressed
Doing DD2's ironing - not much this week
Going to Asda with DD1 - double staff discount day. :D but no money
Maybe making Christmas cards or wrapping presents.

I have had an application form come for the new Tesco opening in Loughborough - it has a horrible section where you have to look at staements and choose 1 which is most like you and 1 that is least like you from each section. Trouble is that in some sections they all apply to me and to mark 1 as least seems detrimental. Need help on this one folks.

Morning all.. today I am mostly eeurgh. Had very dodgy stomach last night (had to rush back to house mid-run :o ) and didn't sleep well. Still waiting to hear about job, just want to know either way now. The good news is that my Christmas pressie camera should arrive today :)

No skirt eh Snags, you going to wear those lovely nylon gym pants then? :rotfl:

    Morning all.

My plan for today is to sleep, read, and do enough 10 minute bursts to clean the flat, it's slipped a bit while I've been ill. Also need to email my tutor and explain about the essay. Was going to go out tonight but don't feel up to it.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I only paid £20 in total for stick, shin guards and ball to practice with at home, so not too bad...I am possibly going to start playing hockey but it all depends on a) if I like it, and b) if I can get there in time because it's on the other side of Leeds and the traffic is terrible.

New coat was sort of needed - mine seems to be dropping in bits but could just be mended (and will be, when I next see my Mum ;)). But new one is very smart, 3/4 length and red, perfect with my rather sexy leather gloves and new boots!

The difficulty with these is that you can never second guess exactly what they are looking for, and inevitably you will fit more than one statement, so just be as positive as possible - fill it in when you feel at your happiest and most energetic/capable (and don't say you never do because we've seen you flying through your lists of jobs of late :)).

Hope you hear about the job soon Squizz, it's horrible waiting.

Arrgghhhh, noooo, not the gym pants!! :D I wont be playing matches (certainly not for a long time anyway, if ever), so I wont need a team kit (but I'm pretty sure it's shorts anyway). They just train in normal sports clothing (as warm as possible, as hockey is a winter sport...brrrr....I must be mad!).

  • Eeek! Just realised form has to be back by Friday! DD1 and I need to sit down with it over coffee I think.
  • My grandparent's phone has been off the hook all night, cue frantic phone call to a friend of theirs in Scarborough to go and see if they're ok. Unfortunately, I woke said friend up from a lie-in and they didn't seem too impressed. They said they'll go around some time today. My dad's just called though and he's sending a mate around to find out what's going on.
