Random, it doesn't matter how it looks, only how it tastes!

Cooking's easy, just get a slow cooker! Have you checked out the Old Style board, I got looooads of help and advice from them.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Dear people who can cook:

Can I come live with you for a few months to learn how to cook properly? I seem to be still stuck at the "slop" level of cooking... :o

God only knows how this lasagna going to look :/

I never 'learned' to cook Random... I just taught myself. So if your lasanga is sloopy and watery this time thicken up the sauces next time. I learned all I know from trial and error, as long as its all edible you will get better. The only thing I havent mastered is yorkshire puds... No matter how many times Mum will show me or I try they just will not work :rotfl:

    Evening everyone btw _hello__by_cremecake.gif

At the moment the slow cooker purchase is for next year as all my money is promised away already - although I live in fear if i got one I would burn my house down or something...

Just seems that even with the right ingredients it never looks anywhere near the "image" I think it should be - last time I made lasagna - it tasted already but just didn't seem to work properly... does that make sense? More like "pasta sheets in a puddle of meet with some cheese in it"...

We will see! Hopefully it just even pretends to act like lasagna this time!!!

rediculous Bookie, I am sure they could find someone to job share with her. No wonder so many mums give up work

They also want to move her from hosiery to jewellery.

Is your shop any busier Sally?

Well the soup was lovely.....still not entirely sure what flavour it was but I'm pretty sure it was what was left in the tagine one night and blitzed into a soup.....was very smokey paprika'y.....yum.....DD's guzzled down 2 large bowls each and ate loads of bread and are now fighting over the bathroom.... I spent years trying to get them to wash and now they're never out of there!

Random - I make my lasagne meat the day before I need it, cool it and fridge it over night. Much easier to get a thin even layer when it's cold. Once layered up I cook it low and slow for a good hour and a bit and then whack up the temperature and add some grated cheese to the top for the last 20 mins.
