I was 10, the size was 28aa and it was a pack of 2 which were a Christmas present from my Aunty (I'd asked for them!) ~ I was over the moon LOL
My daughter was 10 too and her first size was a 30aa, now she is a 34A and will be 12 in 3 weeks.
I hope to God she doesn't end up with mahoosive bazookas, like me, my Mum and my Nan!
ETA ~ You can get some really pretty bras in New Look (white with rainbow trim, or tatty teddy ones etc).
Daughter has plain white for school (from Matalan) and the patterned ones (New Look) for the rest of the time.
Wow your daughter of 12 wears a 34a!! I'm 31 and just about manage to fill my 34a!! LOL :rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge Member #8810 -

My first bra was a 28AA and I was also 10.
I don't have a daughter but if I had, I dare say she would have been ample in that department...at one point I was a 30GG!
I blame breastfeeding, I was a 34A until I had children.:rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

My first first bras's though, you know the 2 triangle kind, I think I must have been about 9 and one little tip - do NOT get your young daughters a bra for christmas, cos it is just TOOOOOOO embarrasing!
For my daughter it'll be when she asks for one probably. Untill then i think crop tops are fine.
I asked at the time, that's why my aunty got them for me! I remember being so excited, I ran into my room, put one on, then went into my Mum and Dad's room and started parading around......my Dad was mortified and hid his head under the covers and told me to get out! :rotfl::rotfl:Wow your daughter of 12 wears a 34a!! She's not 12 till New Years Day ~ she's 5'5 and a size 10 already! I just hope she takes after her Dad's side as they are all tall and slim, not like my side who are all dumpy :rotfl:My first bra was a 28AA and I was also 10.

I'm a 38E ~ I would LOVE a breast reduction! My ideal size was a 36C, but I haven't been that size since I was 19 :cool:Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
I think I was about 10/11, and started off with a wireless crop top type thing. They were all the rage in school at the time. As sensitively as mom dealt with periods, she told all the female relatives in our family I was getting breasts!!! The horror when you're only 10
She was very thankful I stopped at 34c though, all the women on her side (and a few on dads) were renowned for big boobs and she was worried I'd end up the same. Unfortunately all the women on both sides also had big bums, and I didn't dodge that one :rotfl:Do good deeds and you could raise the curtain, do good deeds and you could really raise your life....0 -

I hated the damn thing as no-one else in my class had to wear one, and it completely put me off PE as we had to all get changed together and shower in communal showers and the teacher would stand there making sure we got in. I just used to make any excuse, forget my kit and never do it.
I was the exact opposite... I had no boobies and everyone else had bras for ages (since being about 11) and my mum refused to buy me one.
Getting my first bra was my proudest moment. Even though it was AA:rotfl:
All the girls in my school were always dead proud when the bra time came..0 -
I hated the idea of having to wear one and resisted my mum for as long as I could. I think I got her cast offs (starting at age 10) - or they could have been new but they never ever fitted me properly! Hell through puberty. The trouble was that in India, the largest size available was 36C ad I was a big girl from the start. When I was about 16 my mum went on holiday to the US and brought back 38Ds for me which were a bit better but it wasn't till I moved to the UK that I was told I was a 38DD (at M&S)...then discovered Bravissimo and the fact that I am a 34GG. Finally comfortable and backache free. If your DD is a fast developer, please have her fitted properly.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

BTW my friend didn't take her daughter for fitting and at the age of 15 her boobs fell out of her top while playing silly with her sisters and few boys and girls on the garden... Because her bra never covered even nipples as she was wearing cast offs from her mother (my friend) who never had any boobs.
I would never wish this embarassment for anyone..0 -
when do your boobs stop growing or is that a daft question, my dd14 is a 30a and is so disappointed that she has no boobs and all her friends do, but she is very tall and slim. She doesn't seem to have grown in the boob department for a couple of years even though she started her periods when she was 12. Me and my other dd20 are both a 40 D but she must have her dads side of the families genes. Do your boobs still grow at 14 ?0

I didn't want one at all, but was forced to by my mum at about 10/11. I went straight into a 34b.
Your breasts change all your life really. I contiuned to grow until about 16/17 when I was about 36d. Then when pregnant they have gone up and down (before during and after), maybe the breastfeeding effects it as well. With my first pregnancy went up to 38g (OH loved that lol). Now pregnant for 4th baby and am around 38d at the mo.
Unless she is obviously needing support I would let her choose when to have one.

I got my first one when I was 11 and I asked for it. I was a B cup and kids at school had started commenting that my boobs were bouncing up and down when I ran or played PE. There are so many pretty bras now that I think it's much nicer for teens. During my school years I used to buy bras with a clasp at the front as the flat-chested girls at school used to think it hilarious to sneak up behind the bustier girls & undo their bra!0
