Barjam-i too had disconnect problems with O2 BB.

I started by "rationalising" my internal phone socketry.

that is, I cut off all extensions so that all i had was the master socket.

I also switched my DECT phone for a bog standard corded phone for the purposes of testing.

I have now also swapped the O2 BB router for a Netgear DG834GT which is known to be a good fix for O2 BB issues due to better line tolerance and compatibility with O2 DSLAMs (exchenge end bits).

Things have improved dramatically and i no longer have disconnects.

I also have better connectivity and less resynching.

In addition, the Netgear is compatible for use with the DMT tool

    (also available in English)

A useful facility of the DMT tool is that it has a basic spectrum scope on which you can monitor S/N levels and so if any changes are made, the changes..good or detrimental, are visible via graphical presentation.

EG put extension lead between mastersocket and router...noise peaks go up,take it off, peaks go down (good).

Unfortunately, sometimes with ADSL..you have to do some troubleshooting yourself and it isnt always a plug n go technology.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Did you get sorted with the line test? Was there a fault?
