I know its nice to keep occupied, and you'll get a lot of satisfaction from it... but how's your brain doing in the new job

My brain is not being used really - I'm reserving its power for the writing in the evening...

    L-L
    - thank you for the weather report - I expect one at least daily, or, if possible, 8am, noon, 8pm and midnight! re the results - that's sooo out of order. Is there a patient charter or something that says WHEN results will be produced by so you can challenge them on it?

Hollyh - your tale of the biscuits and the melted sweets I'm afraid made me laugh - at least you tried!

    Boddy
    - how did you get on with your Mum's place? (I find myself just not wanting to write 'home' because it's clearly not a home!). Go and see the Police about your Mum's things disappearing. I think it's awful (and v. telling!) that the Manager said go buy your Mum a new necklace and they'd pay for it. Did the necklace that went missing have any particularly sentimental attachment for your Mum? (I see later you say you bought it for her years ago) And given that she seems to be playing up a bit, methinks there may not be something right there..

Dusty - your explanation of running up the road to catch the delivery driver had my mind in overdrive for a while...

Lil-me - the boredom - you don't know the half of it...

Kazm - methinks you needs a big hug so I'm sending you one xx

    De.n
    - happy birthday for yesterday! - can't help you with married couples tax allowance cos I ain't married anymore!

Rosep - hope you and DH feel better soon

Toots - minus 3 ??? Blimey! Do you need thermal underwear putting on your christmas list? And yes, I'm showing them how it should be done in my own sweet and subtle way...

carol - well done on finishing the essay.

    Jo-Jo
    - that's difficult with the BO, does your DD1 use deodorant?

Helen Jelly - big hugs love - this isn't compulsory you know - sometimes it's more important to spend time with your loved ones and we all realise and acknowledge that...

I have managed to make the task set to me last two days! I didn't finish it today but will spent Monday finishing it. It will be beautiful and so efficient once it's complete. I know I'm moaning about my current assignment and I ask you to forgive me. I need to acknowledge that at least I have something bringing in a small amount of money and it gives me a bit of time to work on the book.

And I now declare that Tomorrow, Saturday 12th, is the day Christmas starts in the Soappie household. Those of you who know me of old will realise once that date's set, all the shopping (bar fresh food) will be done, presents organised, tree obtained, decorated and up by tomorrow night!

Bah humbug mode is now suspended....

  • Tag, how is your finger?

Poohbear, yes I think I’d over done it at the weekend which is why I’ve struggled so much this week – totally lacking energy still. How are you and DH?

Carlsberggal oooh, the first scan! How exciting!

CY sorry to hear someone shouted at you, how rude! Hope you are ok. Whats a MSA?

H well done on your assignment

Kazm what was the cannula for?

Helen I hope your DH is better now and DD too

Love and hugs Lady Liberty and Diva

De.Nattom well done on being so strong with your mum and gran, they will be fine and will learn to cope and deal with their probs instead of expecting you to do everything for them. What does SO stand for? Have been racking my brains and can’t work it out

Sammiell hope you are feeling more energetic now

    Hugs Cally

Fedup have you got heating now? Yay! That’s ages you were without it

Jill well done on getting all your forms filled in and ready

    Welcome back JoJo

FFP, I hope you are better now

Penpen LUNCH AT LITTLE BETTY’S!!!! So jealous! Haven’t been to Betty’s for donkey’s years. Hope you had fun!

I've got to p.26 now! Have been working all day and then sleeping then woke up with a start convinced DH was dead cos he wasn't home. Of course, he's not, don't know what was wrong with me! We are both v tired and feel like we are going down with something, and so we are having a day at home tomorrow - planning to sleep in and then watch lots of TV! And generally slob about and do nothing! :D

Love and hugs to you all xx

    pillion - welcome

greenbee - not heard that anyone else is planning on coming; am happy to try the pub in Sutton Scotney. Shall we go with the plan of me texting you once I'm finished at jacksplace?

L-L - huge hugs and prayers xx

Toots - hope you're not too cold; take care xx

Can I please ask for some flylady prayers and vibes? One of the girls at school is in hospital and very poorly. She has pneumonia (her condition means she also has cardiac problems and her heart doesn't function as it should). She is sedated as she keeps fitting, and they don't seem to know what to do. They may do a lumbar puncture as they think there is something they haven't found yet. Her mum rang school today to say prepare for the worst .....................

    Her name is Maddy xx

Lovely but long day here, work this am then work Christmas do number 1 (only had one small drink :A) then met a good friend who is in london for the weekend for a coffee/wander. Only just home (record trip of 26 mins from leaving London bridge on the train and taking my shoes off at home) and am about to put my PJs on and my feet up.

Christmas here is going to start this weekend too, tree is going up, presents will be wrapped etc. DH has done all his wrapping (as in stuff for me plus couple of other bits)

Actually, I think you may well be surprised - no, I don't think, I KNOW - you'd be surprised at how low brow and subtle and sweet I'm being :p I've actually surprised myself....

However, the number of .um. stern emails to various council people about various issues in the last few weeks has increased somewhat! After all, one does have to have an outlet :D
