Dibbo, stop being a heartless b*stard, get your full refund, and find yourself another sofa.

They're ultimately a charity, and your attitude is far from charitable. If you are unlucky enough to suffer from a heart problem one day, you'll understand the work this charity does.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Shop workers making mistakes? How could this happen? They're all programmed to do everything right all the time...
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
    Now 20% cooler

Maybe people should be thinking about just why this "charity" chucked something away when they had a buyer for it, their act cost the charity money which should have gone to a good cause but won't be now. Charities shouldn't be throwing money away like this. Although mistakes do happen, clearly this branch was lying to the OP as well, as they kept saying the sofa was on its way, and that the van had broken down, when all the while they never had the sofa, charity shop or not this is very bad service, and he's entitled to complain about it, and he should really get a replacement sofa that is AT LEAST as good as the one he had bought, and an apology. Just because this is a charity doesn't mean they should be able to get away with poor and dishonest service and to allow them to do that would not be in the interests of the charity either. Sounds like the staff need to learn a lesson to me.
