Hey up folks!
Had a mega busy crazy few days...the Xmas lark catches up fast! Had our works meals on Thursday, which was nice. I managed to only have the meal and drank water that was freeSat there wondering at first what people must have thought, me not having any drink when they were all drinking booze and then coffees etc but then thought who cares! I was just chuffed to save the £££! The foodies were such massive portions, I couldn't even eat when I got home so that saved on food for tea!!!
Had a nice day chilling at home yesterday as took the day off. Spent today also relaxing and then me and DD went off to Westonbirt Arboretum to see the enchanted Xmas trail, where they light up all the trees. I had put some money aside for that as wanted to go for weeks, but when I got there along with the billions of others as it was heaving, I found out after paying that they only have one trail and the second one isn't on...which I was mightly peeved about! Probably wouldn't have gone if I would have known! But saying that, was nice to get out of the house for a bit!
Well finally managed to get DD stocking filler bits sorted out and have told myself that is it now!!! No more money on the madam! Only have one more gift to get then the lot is done.
Need to get foodies for Xmas day though, might do that first thing in the morning when I do the weekly shop. I am determined not to go crazy food wise as is only one day and I am trying to keep the cost and waistline down anyway!
Dietwise things are going ok, managing to shift a few pounds. Not able to get much exercise done at the mo bar cycling to work and the kickboxing, as my body aches for so many days after the kickboxing, but hopefully that will get better more I train! Might try for a quick run tomorrow, just to blow off the cobwebs from my beaten up old trainers. I soooo need a new pair but keep putting it off! Keep on checking the ol' ebay!
Have been chatting to peeps about Xmas dinner! I can't see the point of cooking a huge meal for me and Ems so a few people have said why don't you just have your fav meal instead? I have asked Ems and she wants us to try and make her fav food...sushi!!! Should be fun if I can get it right! She can help too! She has a fasination with Japanese culture and really wants to go one day. When I become debt free I will take her. So am looking at trying the sushi and a udon noodle soup with prawns to go with it! Mmmm dunno how it will turn out but hey! Will try and find a few different ideas just in case I find something else that sounds good! So hopefully there won't be much washing up but will miss all that left over turkey that comes after Xmas dinner!!!
Really looking forward to it now!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

Hello everyone,
Hope we are all ok! It has been mental here due to sooooo much snow! I have been having to cycle to work in it...it's crazy! Finally the sun is coming out so hopefully it is gonna melt a bit before I go home today!
Couldn't do kickboxing as was too dangerous on the roads last night. Gutted but was not worth the risk!
Well got paid today. have managed to earn an extra £132.78! £100 of that is for the summer work I done so will be going to become DD ski trip money as the school said £100 for the trip! The other 30 odd quid is due to me becoming team leader for 6 months so am gonna put that straight towards the credit card later so that I don't actually get used to having the extra money, before it goes again in July!
Am off for a haircut today as is soooo needed! Decided only want the back cut as gonna grow it a bit longer and then won't need to have it cut so fast! Am planning too on taking DD to the cinema as a treat on Xmas eve if the snow has gone! No way I am driving in the snow and ice! I should have enough money for the cinema left in my account before my wages wen in this morning. I must make this left over money last until the 27th which is normal payday! Apart from haircut and cinema there should be no spending so should be ok! I have enough foodies and a full tank of petrol so should be sorted:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

Hey up everyone! Just wanted to post a quick message before bed!
Had a crazy few days and soooo glad Xmas is nearly here! Have all pressies sorted and ready for the morning. Feeling a little bit rubbish as wish I could have gotten DD more than I have as with everything under the tree for her it looks like nowt really, but cannot be helped I suppose...one day eh!
Have evrything ready for the Sushi lunch tomorrow and have plenty of chocolates in case of emergency...as well as that I treated myself to a bottle of wine as we didn't do the cinema after all as roads are full of ice! Will be mixing it with lemonade to make it go furtherI have been sooo very good and not had any baddie foods for several weeks now so will be having a day off tomorrow and am out for foodies on Boxing Day and then the Sunday so won't worry too much there either and get right back into it on the Monday morning and hopefully there won't be too much damage!!!
Really chuffed to be having just over a week off work as I won't be back there till Monday 4th January! Result!
Anyhoooos I is of to bed as am shattered out and need to be fresh for tomorrow! Hope everyone out there has an amazing day!

Heya everyone!
Thanks for the Xmas messages guys! Had a lovely time (hope you all did too) and soooo glad it is nearly 2010! Only a mega quick post today as am rushing about like a blue bottomed whatsit as the mo...will tell all later!
Anyhoooos, I sooo cannot wait for 2010. Think I am gonna do myself a proper FULL ON budget at the start of January to try and get to grips with what is going out where etc. At least the major payments of the year are nearly sorted...ski trip (only need a few items of clothing - Ebay) and the bank loan very nearly done. Must get on and make that payment of £32.78 to the CC too...the extra payment from my wages.
Popped to Tesco and got a few bits of foodies until the weekend so no real spends now until the new year sets in. Will try doing a bit of a storecupboard challenge for myself in January and try and get rid of some of these various bits and bobs foodwise!
Not much of an exciting update I am afraid! Will be back very soon and am raring to go and hit 2010 running!
Hope all is well in DFW land and will be back very soon!xxx

Hi Donna
belated happy new diary. nice to see you back. I am sure the next 4 months will fly by, and imagine how much faster you will be able to pay the debt back with that extra £175
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Heya Chev
Nice to see you...hope all is well? I know, can't wait! So April 5th will be the last payment as far as I know! Better be
Hope everyone is ok! I have been away for a few days as took DD away with some friends to Snowdonia! Was awesome there but was a heck of a long journey to and from! Back now and am gonna spend today relaxing ready before getting back to work on Monday.
I had paid for me and Ems to go ages ago and had put aside some money for petrol. I only spent a couple of quid when we were there so very happy with that.
I seriously need to budget this month! Had a mental few months in the run up till Xmas so am looking forward to sorting things out. Still have snacks etc left over from Xmas so will be trying to keep the food bill down. Don't get paid until the 27th so need to look at what I have left each week after foodies and the bills.
So this weekend must check internet banking and pay in £32 odd towards my Virgin CC. Also this month is when my Child Benefit/small amount of Tax Credits goes in 2 times in one payday month so will be using the extra money for that too. This is the one time of year where as I get paid 4 weekly, it goes in twice within the payday month. Happens each January...yay! So might try and top it up along with the £32 and pay £150. Also the monthly payment for the card itself is £25 on a 0% so will take it down even more.
Am feeling positive so far so that is good. I have been a little down recently but think it is due to the time of year! Hard to see everyone spending out soooo much money and I think I work jolly hard and can't do the same so feel a little rubbish! But I know that one day I will be able to do that and as I have been through all this, it will carry on making me stronger so that when I do have money, I won't go mental and get myself in a mess again! Well that's the plan anyway!
Haven't got much happening in January money wise apart from Dad's birthday.
Thinking though about signing up for a running race in February though as will give me something to focus on and an excuse to get out there and run! Very hard to motivate myself at the mo and haven't done any exercise in ages! Am planning to try a short run tomorrow to get me out there again...not today as am far to exhausted from the New Year break! It should only cost about £15 odd so will see if I can budget for that. Need something to focus on or won't get out there at all! Kickboxing is back on Monday so excited about that...even if it is run by complete mentalists and I nearly puke each time due to it being so hard!!!
I think I might spend some time this weekend tidying out my room as everywhere else is pretty much ok. I will try removing the summer type clothes out of my wardrobe to give me some more space as won't be needing them for a while! I must make sure that come the summer, I am the same size as last summer so I won't have to get any more clothes!!! So am gonna be meal planning all the way and hopefully with this exercise, can reach my goal!
Anyhooos sorry for the long ramble! Am gonna get some brekkie on the go as is 11am and haven't even done that yet!!!
Be back later!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0
